    I agree with you, listening to french dialogues and podcasts works even better than reading. If you can already read and understand French, in order to speak it, listen and mimic the speakers, do this repeatedly and with time you will become fluent. This is how babies learn their first language.

    Everyone learns differently. When I went to 1st grade I was taught to read before anything else. Once I learned to read I was able to move forward. Therefore My priority is to learn how to read in French. I suppose that goes along with pronunciation, so I totally agree with you. This has helped me personally.

    Thank you very much for your video. I am a fast learner as I know Deutsch, Italiano. In my opinion, if anyone is interested to learn any language he/she should love the language first. Love to listen, love to talk. Here eat in French, sleep in French, sing French and more. It means fully involved in language and can learn faster.

    One thing I do is watch "Friends" in French by changing the language preference in Netflix .... I have seen it in English so many times that I almost always remember the original dialogues. ........ So when I am listening them in French I try to learn the unknown words, and also get accustomed to the intonations and accents .....

    Hi your videos are good. constructive criticism here. Ive taught myself 2 foreign langs (Eng/Jpn) outside of my mothers tongue and I think you should ditch the tongue positioning, lip positioning and profile (side views) views in your vids. I feel if you sounded out the words 2-3 more times and let the viewer figure out tongue/lip positioning so that its faithful to the way you sound it out would be more helpful. Just a thought. French looks easy (easier) to me since im fluent in Castilian but it is the next language I have my sights on. I think your french pronunciation is spot on w/o knowing french myself. I see your english itself is conflicting between British/USA pronunciations Im in LA as well if you need help in any way, I just want to learn French. Thanks.

    Question: what is the difference in Phonetics of “vin” and “vingt”?

  • @french.pronunciation

    @french.pronunciation

    2 жыл бұрын

    No difference here. Vin is v+ nasal e. The same for vingt. Letters g and t are not pronounced. T is pronounced if there is a vowel following the word. But it doesn’t influence the previous sounds anyway

  • @bluemacaroons
    @bluemacaroons2 жыл бұрын

    So the prononciation part is like how i learnt to read the Quran, it was a lot of letter sounds and articulation points, then I practiced by reading a lot, listening and repeating. That’s just the basics anyway

    English mistake you make - Don't say DURING for time spent doing something/ Eg Listen to French radio during 30 minutes. INCORRECT. Say FOR eg Listen to french for 30 minutes. During is used to say something happens within a specific time frame. EG During the summer I spent time listening to French radio. Eg I listen to french radio during the day.. thanks for you videos. I think the pronounciation one are essential.
