I grew up living in different countries for about 3 years each. :) I'd have to say most of the television shows and especially cartoons I watch in English now, I watched in Dutch first. It really helps. Especially since it's quite hard to find cartoon shows in English.

My girlfriend is Dutch and can speak some English but I want to learn Dutch for her
