It’s like ending of the film, and the start of a new beginning. And the characters are giving their final words on what could possibly lie ahead. Scene takes place up on a hill or a boat. Sun is setting, wind is blowing. Hands in pockets and looking across the horizon. And maybe one is crying because one of the characters pass away. The Wind Rises or Poppy Hill comes to mind.

Gorgeous! Great job.
Goddammit. This song gives so much nostalgia that I have to rewatch Spirited Away and Totoro again.
I swear this guy can do whatever genre he want and it'd sound amazing. Especially that 5:51 woodwind part paying the respect for Merry go round from Howl's moving castle
This is amazing you managed to give me the chills man
This is brilliant omg!!
Oh yeah that guy who make the Spirited Away ost songs. My favorite one is Ones Summers Day
Actually his best and most original work is not the fairly straight ahead and sometimes sappy piano+orchestral work that anime fans seem to know him for, but rather the work he's done scoring many Takeshi Kitano films, which are much darker in tone than any Ghibli film. In some of those he uses some of these same methods AND all sorts of other ones, unusual instrumentation and techniques, that's far more compelling to me than the stuff on display here, and I think, quite hard to emulate. Check out especially his work on Sonatine and Kids Return.
