This is Part 2 of how to, sort of, make music like Burial (I emphasize "sort of" because we are using Ableton which follows a grid system, and he by all accounts used Sound Forge, which didn't!).

Saju is the artist Jing Ling is the song name. The brackets around Jing Ling are Japanese quotation marks.
Quality as per usual. Love this channel.
Epic work man!
Amazing work man! A lot to learn from this
Wow I'm not particular familiar with Burial's music, but I feel this tutorial made me understand electronic music production in a fundamentally different way.

well definitely check burials music out. worth it.
thank you very much for these burial tutorials
my guy these are pure gold thankyou. if you play 'untrue' and similar sample based albums on vinyl you get the sampled vinyl crackle.. on vinyl.. crackleception. also if you do a massive attack breakdown i'll buy you a pint
My guy. A+
I was humbled by pt one tbh! you nailed it. Looking forward to this one

Absolutely amazing breakdown of his techniques. I’ve come across some of these tricks myself but this is on a whole different level. Thanks for making this ❤️
Awesome, going through all your videos, and big up for fav soundtrack from the Crow - me too! I got very excited about the metal/electronic fusion in that which often gets me excited.
This is great!!!!! When is part 3 coming out?

Man your videos are awesome...Would love to see how you would make an FKA Twigs / Arca sorta track
Davin thanks for putting this up- I'm a huge fan of Burial. I had some idea of how to get these sounds and effects and there are sites that dutifully catalog all of his samples. But, this style always seemed super labor intensive and a bit out of reach. Your series feels like it puts Future Garage within reach at last....now to upgrade my laptop and get Ableton. Having loved and used Acoustica's Mixcraft DAW, for years I feel like a traitor, as if I've gone to the dark side. Well, I think it'll work out- I look good in black. Subbed.
Good work
Very nice
There's some tutorials out there and I think this one in particular gets It.
Very inspiring.Great work on your channel.New Sub!Best regards
Don't undersell yourself with the title, you've done a stellar job, this is definitely not a "sort of..." video!

The only track i ever heard sporting vinyl so loud compared to the rest of the track (and wasn't actually some experimental stuff) was Tricky's Hell is around the corner. That was before I heard Burial lol.
nice!! can you do a Tim reaper/coco Bryce jungle tutorial
i love the way you say the section titles *fölee*

Good good good
nothing but gems
🔥🔥🔥🔥
whats your process fir figuring out the key and getting everything in harmony, just good eat training or do you keep screwing with things until they work?
do you have a donation link? I dont necessarily need one on one lessons but would love to donate. I love what youre doin for music culture
" reverb like hell " . I don't think burial sounds use long decay, but play on full wet delay and full wet reverb ( or double reverb ) . however this tutorial is fantastic
what's the reason behind compressing the reverb? i had read somewhere too that a secret to burial's reverb was to put a compressor after it, but i'm not sure about the technical reason behind it. what does it do? amazing video by the way, thanks you so much for the work you a re doing!

Perhaps it's because it makes the reverb tail sustain longer and keep it's volume rather than tailing off fast. It's probably more prominent because of that but I'm not quite sure if that's the reason.

I imagine it also blurs the line between wet and dry signal by gluing them together in subtler ways than the reverb achieves alone.
