DISCLAIMER - As of November 2021, given the legal battles that Kieran Hebden is currently undergoing with Domino Records over royalties of 3 of his earlier albums, the timing of the release of this video is coincidental and no insensitivity is intended. I would hope that this video is seen as an enthusiastic celebration of Four Tet's producing style, and all techniques revealed are based on techniques that Four Tet himself very generously volunteered in the many KZread videos he has done about music producing (and maximum respect to him for being so open about how he works).
This video is brought to you by Hollow Ground Productions.
DISCLAIMER - HGP does not wish to encourage aping other artists styles for their own personal gain. This is purely to help inspire you by focussing on the production techniques that will help you FIND YOUR OWN STYLE!! I Hope to one day be making a "In The Style Of....." Video about YOUR music!!!!

You're damn good. I'm learning so much stuff from your videos. If you take video suggestions I'd love if someone would break down C418 non minecraft material. Like albums Dief (Breakbeat style drums, ambient electronic) and Excursions (kinda videogamey ambient electronic vibe). Also I love Lindstrom and his so called space disco sound. I especially like hid album Smalhans. So damn groovy. He does some crazy melodic synth layers I have no idea how to go about creating. There's two artist you don't see a lot im these kind of tutorials.

Thanks for the support, Rutanen. Sounds like "How to make Nu Disco like Lindstrom and Todd Terje" would make for a good tutorial. I've had people mention their names before. So keep your eye out for early 2022, I'll slot it in! It's the first time i've had a request for C418 though. For some reason he doesn't come up in requests. Would make an interesting subject for a Personal Tutorial, perhaps? Lots of genres and styles to cover.
