I'm 64 years old and an army retiree. All my life, I have struggled with algebra, and today, I've spent 6 hours practicing linear equations and word problems. Today has been my lucky day with the best tutor teacher, who pointed me to the right true North. I just want to say Thank you.....

At 5:08 how did you get 5/2x, if it was 3/2x+x? Wouldn't it have been 4/2x

3/2x+x is the same as 3/2x+2/2x if you rewrite it. Then you can add the fractions together which makes 5/2x

For the distributive property practice ( where you show the work and answers ) c is -2 (x - 5) + 1 =8 but in the answers slide is says -2 (x - 5) + 1 =9, I'm not sure which one to do

@@ayoolukoga9829 I see I was wrong. But I don’t believe this is effective preaching. You haven’t said anything. you just said “Jesus is the way to heaven” and then you didn’t elaborate, and you didn’t provide any reasons to believe, besides the classic “you won’t be going to heaven if you don’t believe in God” which you provide no reason to believe is true. You are a terrible preacher, do better.
