I believed that this kind of skills should be given during the high school classes. So that we would have a basic understanding about how to solve problems within our life.

I think it's too complicated and not practical. It can narrow our focus.

The best of all the videos on problem solving I've ever watched so far Thank you 🙏🙏🙏
Although short but very insightful, my take home point is the use of IDEA to solve complex problem. Thank you
THE SIMPLEST WAY EVER...THANK YOU AGAIN AND AGAIN
This video was great, thank you so much. I was struggling to do a Fishbone analysis. I didn't realise a Fishbone analysis was basically an illustration of the 5 Whys technique. Thanks.

it just the socratic method, the real challenge is creating or inventing a new solution or adapting a conventional method
It is so informative and effective, help me a lot thanks☺
Amazing it's very helpful 😀 thank you ! 👏
Thanks you so much for gather all these useful information in one video! Too powerful! Easy to understand and remember ^v^
My college class “Foundations of Computer Science” sent me here. .. Yay! I’m so happy to be in a class worth taking!! 📝😁🎉

Thank you. Great video with stacks of good information.
Perfect method to solve problem
Clear message, clear structure, easy to understand, thank you
LOADED with info. Not for the faint of heart, lots of steps, but not skipping steps is how you can build a platform you can really rely on and springboard from.
Effective simple clear.
Thanks for sharing this video! It's really important to have the context., sometimes it happened for me to try to find the root problem, but by not having all the information or knowledge I need, I wasn't able to solve the problem
Thank for your video. I will focus and control my daily life problems and solve them flexibly.
Very clear and simple. Thank you
Thank you
Awesome video.... Thanks
Thank you 🙏
Thank you!
Thank you ❤
Analyse the condition, assess the drivers and influences for salience, strength and vigour, ponder alternatives to address the condition in that context, establish resources available and likely returns on their use, then get on with it.
thank you
Great information.
Thank you very much
Thank you, I found this when I needed it. Already changed my life :)
Great. Can you please help to distinguish between problem solving and mathematics modelling

Good one
thank you very useful information
I always try to look from many sides (i learned it from video games cus often the exit or answer could come if u look up) Why do i have the problem Does it have to do something w the environment? What type of problem is it? Is there a similar problem/example Etc
Good job! i liked the acronym, however, the video is not deep enough. Maybe you can create another video for some kind of more complex problems, and further explanation :))

can you use this theory with another example not related to being sick? like something totally different? thank you
@DecisionSkills

Hi Mikki, another example is an accident investigation. Identification is about getting to the root cause or causes, using things such as a root cause analysis, systems thinking, fish bone diagrams or a cognitive map. For example, why did Alaska Airlines Flight 261 crash? Because the plane lost pitch control. Why? Because the jackscrew assembly failed. Why? Because of insufficient lubrication. Why? Because the lubrication schedule had been changed. Why? The investigation traced the root cause of the crash to a series of changes to the lubrication schedule that took place over decades. When there might be multiple causes, a fish bone diagram can be a nice tool. And with problems that are more subjective, I find either systems thinking or a cognitive map to be helpful. Thanks - Richard

I can’t fix my loss. How else can I fix this.
I didn’t know that “IDEA” was an acronym
is there a way to do that in your head or fast because this takes a long time

Speed comes with experience solving a type of problem. Chess, for example, is slow when we first learn. As we practice we become faster. kzread.info/dash/bejne/aGGDl6uNlpO2qrQ.html

Isn't the goal though is to feel better? Why is to take a pill and not to feel better?
@DecisionSkills
5 жыл бұрын
Yes, the goal is to feel better. In the video, a pill is only a potential solution. This is the nature of problem solving, in that being human, we don’t always correctly identify the cause or effective solution. There is several places where we can err. This is why after the pill is taken there is the final step of assessment. It is in the assessment that you determine if the goal to feel better was achieved.

Yeah but... If you make a business out of solving symptoms rather than causes, then you'll always make money.
