Hey, just finished the video. nicely done, great tutorial. What is the diameter of the barb on your chemical injector? Do you ever have to hook up to your xjet nozzle to pull chemical? Wouldn’t that require larger tubing than your injector barb? Thanks in advance for your time. I hope I’m not confusing you lol

Hey, thanks for watching!! The dsi has a 1/4 inch barb. Yes, I use the x jet when I need stronger chem mixes. It uses 5/8 inch hoses.

Great informative video Sir. Do you have a link to the M5 Downstream & XJet Nozzle Combo?

When I search for X-Jet M5DS it's showing only 1 tip? But in your video you have 2 X-Jet M5 twist nozzles? Where to find the dual nozzle? Also, your 4 gpm pressure do you feel that is enough volume to properly run a residential pressure wash business? Thanks in advance!

Hey, thanks for watching!! My duel M5 setup is one I made myself. The XJet and M5DS each are mounted to a QC fitting. I just removed the QC fitting, and mounted them to a JROD. Heres a video I made about my gun and nozzle setup kzread.info/dash/bejne/iIN9t5J_c5SumbQ.htmlsi=x9RM13dBJd71oQfP My 4gpm has served me well, but the higher GPM will get the job done faster. I can do 3-4 houses a day during the spring with my 4 GPM.

Hey great video, very informative. Question if you were to buy a proportioner valve. Would it eliminate you having to test the batch mix or is a proportioner only for a 12v pump? Thanks!

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Unfortunately the Proportioner is an upstream device, so only for 12V. I'm sure someone is working on a device for a pressure washer Proportioner though.

great info! question, can using SH on surfaces with oxidation cause damage?

SH when used correctly shouldn't make a difference on oxidized siding. Just make sure to document the oxidation before you wash, and be super gentle with the pressure. There is always the option to walk away if you don't feel 100% that you can do it without causing more damage.

I'm a bit confused. Did you say using an m5 xjet for rinsing with a jrod for soaping is viable or no?

  • @steppspressurewashing

Yes as long as the nozzels you are using on the JROD are low pressure Nozzles. Check out pressurewashingresource.com and do a lot of searching on the topics. There is a ton of info on there, and I learned a lot from there in the beginning

@@steppspressurewashingI currently use just a J-rod. Never had an Xjet, but if I'm going to be using it for driveways I might as well use it to rinse. So if I use the J-rod soap tip then swap to the X-jet it will have the same effect of going from the soap tip on the J-rod to the rinse tip on the J-rod, and I won't have to go back to take the dip stick out?

@@TANMAN84 that is correct!! If you look back to my older videos, before june of last year you can see me using a similar setup. I would carry the x jet in my pocket while I washed, then swap tips to rinse.

@@steppspressurewashing Thank you I appreciate it. I started last June and have been very uneducated on some things. I do have one more question. Last year, I stayed away from a couple heavily oxidized houses (major visible white) that inquired for house washes because I was worried about disturbing the oxidation. Was this the right move? Or can it still be softwashed to remove mold and algae? I understand that heavy pressure will disturb it but will light pressure? Does SH % affect this? I see you check your vinyl for oxidation in your videos and sometimes encounter some light oxidation and would also like to know why you do this and how it affects your approach as well.

@@TANMAN84 so, I do a pre wash inspection that includes checking for oxidation. This is just to document preexisting oxidation or any other damage before I start washing. This way I have video proof that I didn't cause the oxidation. I have washed plenty of oxidized homes, but I explain to the owner that it will still be oxidized when I'm done.
