Rod/reel combo with fishing kit as an emergency setup kzread.infoUgkxntWMOZsO1Zfv-pdn_XuffEtNkTYAYu4Z recommend but started to use this every day. The rod is thick and seems durable. I keep it neatly tucked into a regular backpack all the time with my fishing gear, and can grab it anytime, put it on my back and go anywhere. I just read in another review that the rod length below the reel is adjustable as well, so I will try that too for even more portability. Probably the best setup I've ever owned. I lost the cap for the eyelets, but no big deal since I still have the black cloth sheath that came for the pole and I use that. Very portable and high quality.

Thank you so much for the info B Lat! This is one technique that I DEFINITELY need to get better at, and your video is one of the best explained that I’ve seen! Anglers like myself really appreciate a professional like yourself taking the time to explain techniques to us and giving us tips to help with our fishing! Keep up your grind and can’t wait for more technique specific vids! P.S. Finally got me a White Bird casting today after watching your video and can’t wait to get it out on the water and see how it performs! Thanks a million brotha 👊🏽

Subscribed after watching a few of your videos recently (and seeing you celebrate after winning a Bass Championship). Beautiful. Your videos have an excellent way of explaining and demonstrating which speeds up learning. I skip baits all the time as I find it triggers Bass. Skipping with a baitcasting reel can still be humbling if you focus on a recent bad cast. I find that when the water has more than a couple of inches of waves, skipping ends. Thank you. Wishing you well.

To reduce backlashing or blowing up pull out your line to where you think the end of the cast would be then put electrical tape on the reel spool.

I didnt know how to do this nor had the right equipment but now I have a base to start learning. I might be handicapped in the back but ima be able to skip under these docks after a bit of practice. Brian, Thanks for this tutorial. I have struggled with skipping using baitcating equipment. I plan to follow your recommendation and switch to mono on a few of our combos. I have been using a spinning outfit for a few years. Having success. After having my heart broken last trip by not being able to turn a fish under the dock I need to switch to a baitcasting combo. Thanks again and God Bless! Regaards, Pastor Dan

Great informative video B Lat. I wish I could use this tactic but I fish in Canada so our boat docks are attached by criss crossing chains under the water anchored to cinder blocks usually. They do this so ice doesn’t rip out the dock out in the winter. I probably could skip docks but with all the chains I might aswell just throw cash in the lake lol.
