I don’t believe you need internet to make payments. Just a QR code will do. But it’s always best to be able to access the internet. Because without internet, your app won’t be updated with the latest information.

Hey Fylip, I’m not too sure about Rakuten, as it’s not available here in China. But you should be able to input a different shipping address.

Are you able to use the app to send and receive transactions? If everything works, just start using it. But just in case, I would not keep large sums of money on there. Cause if it was a mistake, they could lock your account.

I have issues with it It’s requesting for Chinese bank card and I don’t have the card

Hi there, have you tried entering your credit card info? If that option isn’t available, I’m afraid maybe Alipay does not provide services in your area. Hope it helps.

Brother, i was live in China but now in Bangladesh. Problem is that, my Alipay chinese number already dead cz i am not in China. I have 4 bank card. CCB,Bank of China & more 2. You should call Alipay in this case, and see if they can delete your account.

Hey Halifa, you can use your passport to verify your account. Once your account of verified, you can try adding a credit card or a bank card from your country.

Hi Tawe, you will need to have your phone number in order to sign back into Alipay.

Hi broken angel, I don’t think you can transfer from PayPal to Alipay. It must be from either a bank account or a credit card.

Hi Monica, you can try entering the info for your credit card from your country. That may work. I can’t confirm that right now because I am still in China. But when I get the chance, I plan on trying it myself.

Hi, I tried to verify my account with my passport. Several hours later I tried to log in and it failed. It is requiring ID Verification, but will only allow a chinese bank card. The card I used to open the account is not working, and there is no working customer service number anywhere on the web. Just sad stories of people unable to access their account. Can you advise me on any possible solutions?

@@stevenbyang I registered a couple of years ago. I got a new bank card because my old one expired. It asked for ID verification to add a new payment method. I did everything it asked. Took my passport and it's self picture. The process failed, for some unknown reason. It is my passport and my picture. The next day I was locked out of my account and it will only let me put a Chinese bank card for verification. My US bank card, which I used to originally register, does not work. When you log in it asks for SMS verification. After I verify, it takes me to an ID verification screen where the only option is a bank card.

Hey inertia, they may think that your account is compromised. Are you inside China, or outside? You may need to contact them directly to recover and unlock your account.

Hey Daz, you can only link debit cards if you have a Chinese bank account. Otherwise you’ll need to use a credit card.

I think it is a big issue if the ID linked to the account is still yours. It’s essentially identity theft, and should be dealt with asap.
