Does this work the same as topping up main alipay account so it can be used for other purchases such as in Xianyu?

Hi! I'm a VIPKID teacher in the United States with no passport and only a US bank account. I'm going to need to accept payments from parents in China. What is the best way for me to go about this? Thank you for your help in advance.

You can set up a shop where you can accept alipay payments, then those payments can go to your bank account. Otherwise, you will need a passport. You essentially make a store with Wordpress or hire someone on fiverr and connect a china payment plugin inside. (google chinapaymentplugin and it should show up)

Did you use a visa credit card to load the 200RMB? Will there be any fee from using a US visa credit card to load money to Alipay? I have capital one visa credit card and it has zero foreign transaction fee, does that mean I can use capital one Visa card to load RMB on to Alipay Tour Pass without paying any extra fees?

I live outside China and, for shipping I found an international shipping company in China to receive goods on my behalf and then send it to me, should I put their address as my shipping address on Taobao or better to contact the seller to send for him the company’s shipping address? And, I’m wondering that if is it possible to buy directly from Taobao with MasterCard without needing to Alipay? My appreciation. :)

Hi, I am a little confused about the remaining balance refund. On the notice screen at 4:14 it says "After expiry, the prepaid card balance will be refunded to the bank account with which you bought the prepaid card". Is that to a Chinese bank account or back to my own credit card? I am confused why you said we will lose any unspent balance on the card. Thanks

Just uploaded 5000CNY to transfer to a Chinese supplier we work with. Once having scanned the QR of the supplier it's not possible to click on the tourpass card where the 5000CNY is on. Also not possible to get the money back... Can you please help me on this?

Hi there bro I was wondering when on alipay, they are asking me to verify myself so I put my passport number in etc and now they want Chinese bank card? I don't have this and also my mastercard I'm using on the tour pass dosent work it's a monzo mastercard is this why? Do you know which mastercards actually work. Thank you boss.

expat survival Mr Expat Survival!!! It’s me again. I tried to transfer some money to a Chinese national and got this error message: “The other party's collection function can only be used in China. Please contact the other party to pay through other channels.” (Translated from chinese) What does this entail and why is this a thing?! :( Does this mean one has to physically be in china to transfer sums of money from their tourpass to these merchants? hii, thank you for the video! btw i like to use alipay tourpass to make purchase on xianyu, but what means by valid for 90sdays is it means by the tourpass only can use up to 90 days the after the 90 days we cannot topup it again?

It is called tourcard now. Xianyu is a tricky platform as it requires a Chinese ID card to chat with sellers, but you should still be able to buy with the tourcard. What I mean by the 90 days is that you need to reapply for a new account every 90 days for the Tourcard then you can top up accordingly.

Good video. We use we chat and carry little cash. I feel sorry when I pay with rmb because the attendant needs to work. These times are generally trying to show our grandchild how to and the values of cash. I've notice it's easier to spend more money using my cell than paper ... cheers.

Personally I like credit cards better. I can earn cash back when I use a credit card and it seems most countries in the world will accept a mastercard...... If your phone is out of power.....good luck using Wechat or Alipay..... My credit card has no foreign transaction fees and if a merchant does something wrong, I can dispute the charge...... lastly, it is not real cash on a credit card..... that makes it even safer. Unfortunately, in China credit cards aren't accepted everywhere....... which is strange because even Russia accepts credit cards just about everywhere...... yet China doesn't...... and the other big thing is I can have multiple credit cards...... so if one is stolen, I can cancel it online in 1 minute....plus I have another credit card I can use...... while if your phone is stolen....... you are really SOL in China......

As of right now, it is 5% per transaction. As for what your banks in USA may charge, you will need to confirm with them. If its paying with USD, probably nothing.

Hello, yes it was replaced by tourcard which I will be making a video for later this month. I filed a request with them to troubleshoot the US phone number as I saw I had the problem with that too.

100%, need a passport. It's the only foreign document China recognizes as an ID. Where are you trying to buy products from?

Search for tourcard instead. But their system has alot of bugs. If you need to but from suppliers directly, you can email service@borderlesscommerce.net
