Bro, this silly yet straight to the point video completely answered so many questions so quickly, was stuck at the direction I was going with this song and just literally browsed up sidechaining as its something I never deeply touched on. And bang, now all my shitty 3/4 track beats have actual groovy dynamics and shit lmao, thanks bro, all in 4 minutes too, you're a legend

Hands down the best tutorial/ information channel I’ve ever subbed to. Not only a great explanation but before and after sounds to help you hear what’s going on. Simple but perfect for people like me. Can’t wait to apply this to my music. I knew of it. But don’t use it enough to get the kicks to come through in a lot of my tracks. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The reason behind what daft punk did in that year is a brilliant idea. They create a link between most of the instruments in the song. It's totally different than creating a stable surrounding. They did it almost all of their songs.

Yeah the gate has been used forever. Kiss by Prince used it on the skittery "synth" (which was actually an all open string guitar). It was used in genres like freestyle...Little Suzy "Take Me In Your Arms". Also....another use of sidechain I have used is recording a bass line and getting only the low to mid low frequencies, and record another bass line with more higher frequencies (slap/pop or wah) and sidechain the low frequency bass to the high frequency. Good stuff tho. Love you
