HOW TO SHOP FOR A R35 NISSAN GTR

There is a question that has popped up over and over again on line and that question is "I'm going to look at a GT-R, what should I be looking at?" As a new owner of a R35 Nissan GTR I had the same questions. In this video I show you the things to look at when specifically looking at buying a used GTR. This is based on my research from numerous site and months of research. This is of course only a short list of things that are specific to a GTR. You'll also what to check out all the other stuff you usually check when looking at a used vehicle.

I have been a wrench head for years. I started off with building a 69 Camaro, then moved on to Miatas, followed by my first turbo car a 97 Eclipse GSX. After than I moved on to a Honda S2000, then my first MKIV Supra, then a 2010 Camaro, FD RX-7, R32 Nissan Skyline GT-R and my second Supra. I am now the owner of a 2013 Nissan GT-R Black Edition. I love JDM cars and would like to share that enthusiasm with all of you. I will be do car reviews, how to videos and opinions based on personal experience with those legendary JDM tuner cars. I tend to do almost all of the work on the car my self. This comes from a budgetary need as well as a lack of trust of mechanics in general. Working on cars are not has hard as people think, and I hope to show you that you can do it as well, regardless of your experience.

Great to see your enthusiasm spilling over into other platforms with your videos. Having owned an R35 GT-R for just over 4 years (sold in early 2019), I look forward to seeing what you do with yours. They are really fun cars and are much more special than a lot of purists originally think. One of the most useful daily super cars ever!

Thanks. The R35 just seemed like the next logical evolution of my car journey. Ive had all the major import kings of the 90s. It was time to go a little more modern. The R35 does not disappoint so far

Good review !! I just bought a 2017 GT-R , I pick it up on Wednesday. She has 30k miles so I guess I’ll be getting the diff fluid changed soon.

Awesome and welcome. The diff fluid change should be pretty easy and straight forward from what I've seen. The only thing you'll really need is either a long tube or a cheap pump

I don't think the "soft paint" is a GT-R issue, it's a Nissan issue. I had a 2016 and 2019 Armada. They both received crazy paint chips. Not only on the front end but on the doors and sides of the car. And yes, I'm in Texas! 😉 Oh and I now own a 09' GT-R and yes, lots of paint chips on the front end unfortunately. Great video!
