Amazing...I wonder if the pan law has anything to do with this, on ear buds it didn't sound like the guitar was moving in a circle shape, When I closed my eyes it sounds more like a trapezoid shape. Wide at the front and narrow at the back.

Great video, Greg, thanks! I followed it step by step but I still get a regular stereo file though. The only thing that changed is that I'm using "Resonic" player, instead of apple music, and just because I'm on Windows. Could that be a reason why I still hear a normal stereo file? If I take a look at the waveform on the player, it's clear that when the source goes on the rear, I actually hear only less volume on L/R, but again I followed the guide precisely...Any thoughts?

It is easier to route all your channels to a bus that is binaural and from the binaural bus to the stereo out. It is really important to make a stereo mix down if youre doing a binaural mix. And I can recommend, to set all of your audio files in mono because with stereo files it can have phase issues.

what you mean a bus that is binaural ? a normal bus with the renderer plug in on ?

  • @albrechtneuhauser9602

@@Artinmotionmusic you don't need the renderer plugin. You can just go to your audio settings and set a new bus with 3d ambiosonic and route this to your stereo bus. It's because most of the people still listening with headphones which is stereo. Not all headphones have 3d technics.

One of the most annoying thing about the Atmos standard is the 48khz requirement. 44.1khz is more common for music work.

Really? I thought 48 was the new minimum standard for all things audio, whether it'd be music or film. I work at 44.1 too but mainly because it puts less strain on my computer.
