It’s a great video and a good way to start off with the Atmos journey for sure and the wireless system makes it easy if you have the speakers up front and you need to have a set in the rear and this makes it easier to make it happen.

I went down the rabbit hole real fast. I recently started with 5.1.2 and within a year moved up to 7.2.4. In a living room. Of an apartment. It’s just insane. There is part of me that wants to go back to 5.1.2 and significantly upgrade my gear and speakers - quality over quantity. And congrats to the giveaway winner! Cheers, all!

Less is more. If you're cramming all these speakers in there may not be enough separation to hear the way you need to

@@Kpaceguy Agree. It wasn’t necessarily planned, it just ended up that way. But now I’m invested in extra speakers, stands, wires, etc so I use them. I know it’s not ideal, but the room correction and manual adjustments help separate them a bit. My only saving grace is that I can’t really crank them, so the sounds don’t overlap too much. I don’t want to sell anything in case I get a bigger place, but I’m seriously contemplating boxing a couple of them up for a bit. We’ll see. Almost forgot: #Wireless

Have a 7.2 system and tried it with the Atmos speakers up front. Personally I found it gives you a wall of sound which I did not like. Experimented and moved the speakers more towards the middle /back. I liked this much better which provided me that bubble of sound. As always enjoyed the vlog! #wireless

Great explanation and the language is easy to digest which is a plus for all users. I have all 7 speakers in the ceiling. So I'm going to wire up my top middle to my receiver and give it a go and see if 5.1.2 or 7.1 works best for my dedicated movie room setup. Thanks for the information. #wireless

Went from a 5.1 to a 7.2.4 and that was a huge jump. I followed the dolby atmos build specifications via their website. Only thing i wish i would have done is add one more speaker for the VOG (voice of god) for auro 3d movies. Good luck to everyone entering. I am holding out for either the wireless hdmi or the amp as i could use either.

I've been perfectly happy with Dobly Atmos 3.1.2. with in-ceiling speakers.

I was looking into this kit for my surround channels after seeing your original video on it a while back. Something like that would be perfect since I live in an apartment and can’t run wires in the walls. Great info on setting up the 5.1.2 Atmos as well. I’m also looking into some good height channel speakers as well. I currently have the Jamo S803 HCS system (that you also reviewed a couple years back), except I got the bigger S83 center (bought separately) to use with it instead of the S81 that came with that system. That way all the front stage channels have the same size drivers and are a bit more seamless. #wireless

#wireless . I personally like having my height speakers in the middle on a 5.1.2 configuration. Gives the most height info, and if you only have 2 heights, why not put them above the main listening position (as wide as your mains) helps keep height above not in front. But every space is different so test test test. Great video like always. 🙂👍🏼

everyone has a square room to work with . My wall is angled toward the back door and entertainment center goes the whole length ceiling height. Makes placing speaker maddening .

#wireless Thank you for addressing the telegram issue. I didn’t think it was you and I’m a little skeptical when it comes to things like that. Appreciate the fact that you took the time to make other viewers aware. My home theater is not that elaborate I am currently using a Sony receiver with a 5.1 set up. I’m kind of a faithful when it comes to this brand of speakers cause I have a set in my bedroom and I have a set my living room. I am using Klipsch Quintet Speakers. I love them because of space saving your extremely clean. I love them because they’re vocals are very clear and they have a decent dynamic range and when paired with a proper subwoofer they blend seamlessly into a room and they offer everything that you looking for in a home theater as well as detailed vocals and sound and soundtracks music, as well as the subwoofer which provides thunders base. My subwoofer is also made by klipsch.

Great advice, pleased to see you back in the saddle again bro, hope you have come up with a solution to get your car back on the road ASAP. A couple of weeks ago I got a pre-loved Sony STR-DN1080 for my 7.1 lounge set up, my wife has gotten used to the six wharfedale Diamond 9.5 towers, I think the 3 strategically subwoofers blend seemlesy into our decor, however... I've been bitten by the Atmos bug, what's the consensus on 7.1 vs 5.1.2 these days??? Considering I can't mount in-ceiling speakers, I played around with a couple of small onkyo surround speakers angled up bouncy house style on top of the side towers, but I wasn't overly impressed, I'm still considering ditching my rear surrounds and going 5.1.2 as I have a pair of matching wharfedale Diamond 9.0 bookshelf speakers that I could mount on the walls or maybe get some of those cheap indoor/outdoor bracket mounted speakers with 5" woofer and tweeter to use as front or mid heights. I can't afford a reciever with more channels at the moment and I'm kinda attached to my six towers, I can't make up my mind , should I go atmos or stick with my 7.1 configuration? I mainly listen to YT music or watch netflix.😊

No. Placement is important because of the info that comes out of them. They need to be pretty close to proper Placement or they don't transition well when watching atmos movies.

This video is very helpful as my setup is also 5.1.2 HT but really interested in wireless surround speaker as mine is way up almost ceiling height and I don't want to run wires across the room. I will check on your review in this wireless modules hopefully can get one here. thanks. God bless
