How To Set Up Twin Needle on The Brother A150

Фильм және анимация

There is no sponsorship from Brother for making these videos, this is just the machine I decided on when I came back to sewing.
Going from industrial machines to domestic actually terrified me, but this baby just keeps on impressing me. So as I learn about its awesomeness I will do more videos like this.
Our focus for 2020 & beyond is to do online tutorials on how to upcycle and be more sustainable with your wardrobe from May to September every year.
Being mindful in what you are sewing is going to help with the global problem of overconsuming and learning to sew and upcycling, mend before you spend etc. will all help reduce the water and fabric waste that exists in the fashion industry today.
Our hope is that production comes back to your country of origin so that we improve the awareness of buying less fast fashion and buying more locally made from independent fashion designers when you can't be assed to make it yourself.
In my sewing journey and beyond, I plan on keeping the majority of my sewing pretty simple, I have put together a collection of patterns that I learned how to sew in my first year of learning to sew. They are stylish but easy to make. The offer is 6 patterns and their lessons for $47.
These designs will teach you buttonholes, basic pockets, zips and how to cut your fabric and how to sew in a straight line consistently.

Impressed with this machine? I saw the guys at Echidna Sewing for mine, they offer ZipMoney and AfterPay with 6 months interest-FREE. Start with the right machine and you won't need to replace it for years = smart sewing.

That bobbin winding doodad (#3) is technically called a Bobbin winding thread guide and pretensioning disc. Thats too many words for such a small thing lol! I call it a tensioning disc or tension disc or bobbin tension disc, depending on how lazy i’m feeling 👍🏼 And.. that button in the bottom right of the keypad, two up, two in. The one with the circular arrow. It locks all the keys and buttons. I suspect so you don’t accidentally sew over your finger while you’re changing a needle or similar. You’re supposed to press it before you change your needle or your bobbin, then press it again to unlock it all. One of those safety features that no one would be bothered with, like me for example 🤪

So glad this machine is getting some love. I had a choice between the F420 or the A150. In the end I went with this machine and think it's superb.

That's so cool Mitchell, if you ever want to show your sewing adventures tag me on Insta @wemadeitbitches. It was the only name left for my business name so don't feel like you can't jump in. All are welcome.

Hi Maria, it depends if you bought it on a campaign as I managed to get all those feet as an extra on my sewing machine as it only came with 4. Each store is different but the base is the 1, 2, 7 and I am not confident about the 4th but it was definitely 4.
