How does the BMW M Hybrid Mode work?
Learn in this video how to set up the M Hybrid Mode in the BMW XM switching individually between fully-electric drive and combined engine drive. Different set ups can be saved on the M1 and M2 buttons on the steering wheel to get a fast and easy switch between often used modes. More: www.bmw-m.com/en/topics/magaz...
BMW XM:
Fuel consumption in l/100km (combined): 1.6-1.5 (WLTP);
Electric power consumption in kWh/100 km (combined): 30.1-28.9 (WLTP);
CO2 emissions in g/km (combined): 36-33 (WLTP);
Electric range in km: 82-88 (WLTP)
Official data on fuel consumption, CO2 emissions, electric consumption and electric range were determined in accordance with the mandatory measurement procedure and comply with Regulation (EU) 715/2007 valid at the time of type approval. In case of a range, figures in the WLTP take into account any optional equipment. For vehicles type-approved after 01.01.2021 only WLTP values officially exist. Why would anyone take this over an M3 touring. The touring does all this does but better!

Really don't understand all the hate about it, may call me a fanboy, but i don't think it's ugly or bad. People don't like it just because bmw chose to celebrate 50 years of M by making the XM. Yes, it may not be everyone's cup of tea, but in my opinion, it looks good.

As a fan of BMWs performance car I just finde it sad to see every M car getting fat. I mean most M cars are cool and fast cars, but BMW is missing something smaller and more agile. Imho the M2 is still to heavy. But with the XM they just screwed up the branding and to me it seems as if they care more about big fat splurgy SUVs than about actual performance cars.

@v.s.727 Yes, and the future M models are electric. They will get even heavier. I hope that BMW M will find a solution for the weight and bring that classic M car feeling back. Imo other models can be heavy, but the M3 should feel like an M3 and be focused on the driving dynamics, taking corners and going sideways.

@@ivanr8317 I totally agree, I wouldn't mind the XM if they would still make something that feels like a modernized E30/36/46 M3. Allthough the current M cars are impressive they don't offer the same driving sensation as the old M3s did. But with the hybrids and EVs this will get even worse.

@v.s.727 Yeah, agree. But who knows, maybe BMW M can develop some kind of drivetrain that gives driving feeling close to the classic M cars. For some reasons I have big hopes for the next gen M cars.

I already hate future. 😑 I have activehybrid 3 and this car is stupid heavy and annoying. I will sell it soon and bay normal 335i or 340i.. This hybrid systems don't give you any advantage.
