BMW offers clever, convenient and powerful charging solutions, whether you are home or on the go. At home you can either have your own personal charging station with the BMW Wallbox or you can use the flexible fast charger which allows you to connect the charger to different types of domestic sockets. Public charging station system is ever-increasing, so while you’re at work, your BMW Plug-in Hybrid can easily recharge. Whenever your BMW needs re-charging you can do so with the proper equipment and services by BMW.

BMW 530e xDrive Sedan: Energy consumption in kWh/100 km (combined): 16.4-15.9. Fuel consumption in l/100 km (combined): 2.1-2.0. CO2 emissions in g/km (combined): 49-46.
The values of fuel consumptions, CO2 emissions and energy consumptions shown were determined according to the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the version applicable at the time of type approval. The figures refer to a vehicle with basic configuration in Germany and the range shown considers optional equipment and the different size of wheels and tires available on the selected model. The values of the vehicles are already based on the new WLTP regulation and are translated back into NEDC-equivalent values in order to ensure the comparison between the vehicles. [With respect to these vehicles, for vehicle related taxes or other duties based (at least inter alia) on CO2-emissions the CO2 values may differ to the values stated here.] The CO2 efficiency specifications are determined according to Directive 1999/94/EC and the European Regulation in its current version applicable. The values shown are based on the fuel consumption, CO2 values and energy consumptions according to the NEDC cycle for the classification. Further information on official fuel consumption figures and specific CO2 emission values of new passenger cars is included in the following guideline: 'Leitfaden über den Kraftstoffverbrauch, die CO2-Emissionen und den Stromverbrauch neuer Personenkraftwagen' (Guide to the fuel economy, CO2 emissions and electric power consumption of new passenger cars), which can be obtained free of charge from all dealerships, from Deutsche Automobil Treuhand GmbH (DAT), Hellmuth-Hirth-Str. 1, 73760 Ostfildern-Scharnhausen and at www.dat.de/co2/.

Funny I don't see the BMW wireless changing advertised anymore. I find is quite usefully only taking a slight more time than plugging in. However, the convenience of just parking over the pad at home makes up for the difference.
Recently Bought 330e 2109Reg At home for normal socket it takes 9,hours to change

Hybrids are not M cars. They just have the M Sport design package (as the one in the video), but that's just cosmetic. They are powerful cars in their own right though, but not M-powerful.

I do have 530e. Great vehicle for city drive as well as highway. The battery capacity is still low. So purely electric motor range about 40km... heavily depending on heating/air conditioning

I used to have that one as well, now I have the 330e G20 and the battery life is much better. The new 530e facelift has a better battery as well, but the one you have is lacking in that front (as does the 330e of the same generation).

Both the car and the charging station lock the cable in place until you unlock the car

Five hours to match
Did anyone notice how creepy it was seeing those same group of people walk on the sidewalk multiple times. I saw the same exact white guy with the grey shirt and brown backpack about 5 times. And the same black girl with blue jeans and a black top 3 times. I know they are paid extras but it was still creepy watching it.
WHO drives a BMW here?
Nothing to say about the car (availability?) but ... what happened to Nikki Shields? Was the set hairdresser socially distancing? She’s typically an excellent brand advocate... here she looks like she woke up 10 minutes before the shoot. Also, script: you don’t make enough differentiation between the wall charger and the rapid portable charger... if charging time was actually the same, why bother with a professional installation and a 3-phase power line? Like I said the cars are great, I’ve had 2 so far (I’ll consider the i4 once that grille will be sorted).

The cable you mean. That's not possible, both the car and the charging station lock the cable in place and it can only be removed after opening the car and stopping the charging.

Standard cable 5 hours 😂 I love my new company 330e but it definitely takes more than 5 hours to charge from low.

The presenter said with a standard cable it takes 5 hours. This is not true. Full charge on a 3 pin standard charger took 11 hours yesterday to get 30 mile range. Not sure if I can change the speed on the standard 3 pin charger. No wall box fitted currently unfortunately.

Usually cars sit around most of the day. So, there is plenty of time to charge them, especially over night or during work time.

I can do 50km of pure EV on my 330e, my daily commute is shorter than that, so I can go to work and back without using any fuel. When I get home and leave the car, I leave it charging. I don't care if it takes 3 or 5 hours to charge, the car will be stopped for longer than that and it will be completely charged for the next day. Other people don't have a garage/driveway to charge their car, but can do it at work on a public charger or on a company owned charger. And still have 292bhp for the weekend trips. Over my last 300km, I've done 1.2l/100km

Hybrid is the most flexible combination. You can get used to silent acceleration but you’re not subject to the range anxiety of pure electrics. And having driven a 330e and currently an Audi e-tron, I now find ICE cars noisy, smelly and full of unwanted vibrations.

I just think this plug in hybrid is an overkill... going a bit extreme. Just a hybrid will do nicely. You’re probably paying $10,000 extra including the wall box and that’s a lot of petrol. Plus not to mention a lot of mucking around. Not for me
