    I put dish soap and water in a spray bottle and spray the plants then go over with my hands to remove the pesticides then rinse really well.

    When I’m at Home Depot looking for new enclosure plants I never think to get a ZZ, but I will next time! Low light needs and nice strong branches for climbing! Thanks for this video!

    Thank you!! I was just reading the label that was on the plant 😅 No idea if it’s accurate or not.

    I’m at the planting stage of my enclosure and was so scared about what soil to use in the pots. Everyone has a different suggestion so I just went for organic potting mix and some Arcadia Earth Mix.

    I thought zz plants were not okay for chameleons because of the sap when broken but that’s more of a personal preference. My zz plants wouldn’t tolerate a cage. For some of those smaller plants- it might not do great because the pot it too big. I usually buy a few and put them in the same pot

    Like mentioned in the video, ZZ plants have safely been eaten by a veiled chameleon. Please use your own discretion as you see fit :) Love the idea of putting multiple little plants in one pot.

    Hi! Thanks for the info! 🙂 Do you ever deal with root rot since you’re not adding anything for aeration like pumice or coco chips? Also that big one is a monstera deliciosa

  • @NeptunetheChameleon

    No I don't have issues with root rot because the plants have time to dry out between misting sessions. Looks like Home Depot put the wrong sticker on the plant lol

    are you still using this exact soil? i just bought it today and started using it, and JUST noticed it said for the garden only and not pots....should i stop using this now and get the organic potting mix in the purple and yellow bag??

    Which would be best, a(n) annual plant or perennial plant for an indoor chameleon enclosure? I am VERY NEW to all or this. I fortunately adopted a Veiled Chameleon w/o truly knowing the severity that comes with the proper up-keep. However, I am so ready for it!

    Hi I found a local plant nursery where I get my plants for my veiled, and the guy who owns the nursery already uses all organic soil and no pesticides, so I was just curious if I should still wash and re pot/soil them?

    It’s up to you whether or not you feel comfortable leaving them as is or washing them.

    It depends on if he grows them from scratch or if he gets them from a larger plant supplier. If he gets them from a plant supplier then I would wash them.

    Is putting the plants in a pot necessary in ur opinion? Why not just clean them and then put them directly into substrate in the enclosure?

  • @NeptunetheChameleon

    @NeptunetheChameleon

    Жыл бұрын

    If you want to put them directly into the bottom of the enclosure I'd suggest making it bioactive. Having them potted makes them easy to move around, replace, and deal with water drainage.
