Ben a huge question I have with setting up the 'add events' is WHY? Without doing this the pixel seems to register these events just fine..? Does it make it more accurate for some reason?

Pixel event set up will track only no. Of times people are viewing your content but if you want to track specific tabs on your website you have to set up those events to track how many people have actually clicked on those tabs for e.g. you wanted to track no. Of purchases or leads on your website then you have to set up those events otherwise pixel won’t be able to track those actions and in turn you won’t be able to run any high intent campaign on the platform. I hope that answers your question 😊

I set up the pixel as mentioned, and it is detected on the page. However, when I want to select the conversion event on the ad set level the option remains grey. I can select the pixel, but not the right conversion event ("prospect"). Did I do something wrong? Or should I just wait a bit longer to be able to select it?

Hi Ben, quick question which might lead to the fact that I'm using Kajabi. When I redirect someone after a purchase to the thank you page (this is a page once they have logged in to their account) so Meta doesnt seem to be able to track the end "result" and says "A pixel wasn't detected on this website. Check that the URL you've entered is correct" Is this linked to the fact that hey need to login so thats why it doesnt track it?

Great video! Very thorough and easy to follow. In regard to conversion event event tracking, let's say I have 100 product pages on my site, do I need to setup 100 different events?

Thanks for these updates. My question, however, is, is it possible to add a different page pixel ID to the Meta Pixel/ Header and Footer plugin code section?

To create an event for a conversion to trigger for a purchase requires a URL pattern rather than a static URL since the url changes order to order. It would be helpful to not only add this information but to explain how to format the url. So yeah, good stuff until about 10 minutes in.

Hey Ben, quick question. I set up my facebook pixel in my business portfolio account, not the specific ad accounts that I am currently running ads from. I can still view the total events happening, so I know it's set up, but just wanted to check whether or not it HAS be to setup on the specific ad account I am running ads from? Does this matter at all? Should I set up the pixel within that specific ad account or is it okay to have the pixel only in my business portfolio account?

Do I set the pixel up from my personal page or from the business page I have created on Facebook? It seems I can have separate pixels in different places, and it's getting confusing, especially when trying to sync Wix with it.

Hi, great videos, I am learning quite a bit! This tutorial touched on an issue I'm trying to resolve. I recently set up my girlfriend's Shopify store and am using the internal "Facebook and Instagram" setup in Shopify admin. I've been able to connect the store to Meta Business Suite, and it seems Shopify has as part of that setup already created a Meta pixel for the store. I am getting some traffic reports via this pixel. However, do we need to create a separate one to manage events on the store site, or is this built-in pixel that comes with Shopify pack in all the events we likely might need? Just not clear about whether the Shopify pixel as already configured is enough or whether there is any more to do. Thanks.

Hello ben. Please solve this query! If I am setting Facebook pixel for my client - 's Facebook ID I will connect our WordPress website to ours or it has to be the client's Facebook ad. I will not have access to their Facebook Id as their business manager.

I see default events set up that we can assign to each action on website is it possible to create custom events or renaming the ones we have by default.

With one business manager you can manage all of your pages. And you must have a separate pixel for your every website.

Is it the correct practice to use one Data Source (Pixel) for an ad account that is running several different campaigns and landing pages? Or should a new data source be created for each campaign and landing page?

Can you create multiple pixels for the same ad account? I cant find an option to create a second pixel when clicking 'Create' in Data sources. Also, there's a lot of contradicting info out there whether you can have multiple pixels or not on the same ad account

Yes you can but I usually wouldn’t recommend it. I like one Pixel per ad account typically. There are times where you want to divert from that, but that’s my standard.

I had no pixel listed when I created the campaign so I had to make one. When I did that it asked me to make a google tag manager account which sent me down another rabbit hole. Do I have to make a tag manager account for the pixel to work? Please help! I'm very confused!

That damn plugin doesn't' work with a lot of contact forms. :( facebook has known about it for a couple years and refuses to fix.

How does this affect Meta advertising if you use a third party pixel? For example I use Adscale for advertising and I am connected with their pixel for my meta ads.

The Error in this tutorial is that when he says "click this button to create another pixel if you've not got one already set up". That Button does something else.

We do actually need to know how to set up a new pixel though 😄

I have tried to set one up and somehow ended up on something called API conversions, have generated an "access token" but no idea what to do with it. I have watched numerous videos but what is on my screen is different, I have all these abs open and I am just bored and confused now.

If you really want to be helpful, please create an account where you do not need to blur the components. It gets difficult to understand if someone is struggling

This is NOT what it looks like for me and I can NOT add events like that. Has Meta changed the layout? I just want a pixel to track my ads that link to my spotify ads. I feel like I am going MENTAL over here, I've looked at like 10 tutorials now and every single one starts with an already established account, a different layout, it's aggravating. I have NO "add events" button, I can "create a conversion API". There is no "Event Manager" anymore, just a billion partner setups? I don't wanna do a 20 step sign up Google process........ I'm going insane.
