If you’re new to my channel, my name is Ben Heath. I’m the founder and owner of heathmedia.co.uk/YTLong-creat... a marketing agency that offers done-for-you services, coaching and educational resources, all with the objective of delivering exceptional marketing results for our clients and customers.
Over the past 9 years we’ve spent more than £50,000,000 on paid social ad campaigns generating more than £200,000,000 in revenue.
We’ve worked with more than 2,000 businesses directly from all over the world and in just about every niche you can think of. And we’ve helped educate hundreds of thousands of business owners, marketers and entrepreneurs.
How I got here…
17 yrs old: Started my first business selling wristbands with two school friends. I made $0.
18 yrs old: Started my first ecommerce business selling second hand video games. I made $0.
19 yrs old: Joined a network marketing company (would not recommend it). Was told I’d be rich if I signed up 8 people. I signed up 26 people in 3 months. I made $0.
21 yrs old: Dropped out of Bath University to start an app development company. I made less than $5,000 in 2 years!
23 yrs old: Started Heath Media, my marketing agency. I made $0 for the first 3 years.
26 yrs old: Went all in on building a personal brand within the marketing space. I passed $100k/year.
28 yrs old: My personal brand allowed me to attract the best talent in the world. Heath Media became an industry leading Meta ads agency, with an exceptional team and an excellent reputation. We crossed $1m/year.
31 yrs old: Today I teach over 800,000 business owners, marketers and entrepreneurs how to get insane results with digital marketing. Heath Media is a 50+ team of world class talent, working directly with over 400 clients every year. We’ve now crossed the $5m/year mark.
To all the struggling marketers and entrepreneurs… I was an entrepreneur for 9 years before I could even pay the bills with my own business. 5 years after that I have more success and more fun than I could have ever dreamed of.
It takes perseverance, analysis and learning from the right person.
If you took the time to read this far, you have what it takes to crush it with your marketing.
I hope to help you speed up that journey and come along for the ride.
Keep going,
Ben

Hi there, I love your content and I certainly need some help with my failing ads. I noticed your landing page for your course shows the price in UK pounds, (£97/Month). I'm in the States, is it possible to take your course and will it work for me in the US?
This is the most comprehensive tutorial that I have ever run in to. Well done!
I very much appreciate you articulating the details and just having a very natural talk-through. This was helpful! Cheers

Hi Ben, spent about 2 watching your videos today, they are great and easy to follow
brilliant buddy, appreciate your time spent on this video!
Ben, thank you for putting this video together. It was great to understand how you go about your ad creation process. It would have been helpful if you included an example of a product or service related to health, diet, dating, or finance. Due to some of Meta's advertising policies, i.e., personal attributes, personal health, I find that it can be a challenge to write a captivating headline and primary text for these types of services and products. Of course, Meta advises to "sell the product, not the person" in those cases, but it would be helpful to see an example from you. Thanks again.
Thank you so much Ben!! This was so helpful. I love all your videos and I am really glad you mentioned the services like dog walking as I am in the dog industry (training, walking, sitting) and have been struggling with ad creation it seems that all the creative smarts elude me in my own business. I can’t wait for your next video and hopefully one day get to the point I can just hire a company like yours!

Super valuable content, thank you very much Ben! I have 2 question and would be very happy about an answer. 1. I use the campaign structure you recommend in your last video. How should I do, if I have several different winner creatives for one product and want to scale them all to broad. Do you put them all in the same winner dct or do you scale all of them in their own separate adset? If I make everyone in one dct, Facebook will only spend money into one creative and the others spend almost nothing. 2. Do you use a separate campaign for each product then? Thank you so much in advance and greetings from Germany.
Great as always. Ben, did you recommend a maximum number of characters for headlines ?
you definitely know what youre talking about. thanks a lot

loving your videos! In one of them you talked about connecting boosted ads to your ad center. Can you tell me which video this was in? I am having trouble finding it. Thanks.
I have to politely disagree with the headline advice, we find that our ads perform dramatically better when we use quirky or unusual headlines. Having said that, we sell hand puppets - so it's probably a big part of it.

Yeah I 100% agree that you should center it more around your business. We’ve tested out a range of “working” headlines, just to find out they underperform when compared to our more tailored ones specifically for our clients audience. Humour, irony, friendliness, serious tones. Play around with them & find which tonality works best with your audience, then go from there

Question I have: I always use dynamic ads and upload 3/4 images, 3/4 descriptions and titels. And I just let that run, because I will not know what images works best, so I let Meta do the work. Is that something you advice or just 1 image and 1 description and not use dynamic ads?@@BenHeath
Awesome video, thanks! I've been doing Meta ads for a year and it's still great to get more tips and tricks. A Question: Do you recommend adding special text to Instagram ads once your creative has loaded and all the creative text has been applied? One can do this below adding the creative images or videos and expanding the box that allows text or creative changes for Instagram. Basically, does Instagram do well with more content - like testimonials or hashtags? Thanks!

Great stuff Ben. Quick Q - I always hear you talking about analysing and making decisions re: cost per result. But if you have products with a wide variety of prices, is it not much better to set conversions to maximise the conversion value and then just use the ROAS to make decisions??

I’m not Ben or anything, but I’d say it depends on; the product, how different each product is, price difference & what your ad structure is. Sorry if this didn’t help!

Thanks so much for this video Ben! This was very helpful for a beginner like me who's just starting out in learning Facebook ads. The examples you used for benefits were very helpful as well. Say, for online shops that sell various items in the same category (e.g. car accessories) is it better to create ads for the individual single product or make the ad for the shop and showcase various products?

Hey Ben Question on advantage budget optimization, I have 2/6 campaigns that have add sets and ads that get no exposure because of a single add set that runs away with the budget available. This add se did not deliver runaway results in my 2 week scaling analyses. I cant speak for my customers but, the other add sets literally got no visibility because of this. Is it advisable to turn the budget optimization off for a week and see how the other adds perform, or is Meta really that smart to tell me that there is no chance the others will deliver?
@BenHeath
9 ай бұрын
Good question. Most likely those are the best performing ad sets and will be going forward. But you can certainly test it. We do see scenarios where ad sets or ads get no budget and then end up performing well when we force the issue.
and a jewelry Store? any example?
Hi Ben, Your videos are super helpful. One quick question. How often do we change the content of FB ads?

Ben, Been following for years, Thank you. I have a quick question for you and hoping you responed. I have a winning ad right now, going to a product page - the stock is getting low now and wont be able to fullfill the orders that come in. Good Promblem, i guess. My question is what is your thoughts about shutting off an ad and then turning it back on when stock is replenished? Will the ad still be effective and produce? Thanks Ben
@BenHeath
9 ай бұрын
Glad to hear it :) Yes certainly a good problem to have. In that scenario it’s fine to turn an ad off and then back on again when you have more stock. We do that sort of thing often.
Do you recommend leaving on "Optimize text per person" ? Based on the info from this video that option would likely decrease performance initially right considering Meta will place your Headlines as Main text and vice versa in some cases? Great video!

I don't think it's a big issue if you leave it on, but I do agree that it's usually best to turn it off.

@roddyrackz9434
9 ай бұрын
NEVER!! It won’t hurt your ad in the way you think, it doesn’t plummet your ROAs or CPR or anything like that. But you should incision every piece of your ad slot as a valuable money maker. If you just repeat something twice, people only take it in once. As a rule of thumb, headline, creative & copy should touch on different talking points, but all in the same direction. I.e Copy header: “Does the guilt of missing daily walks weigh on your conscious?” Headline: dog walking and behaviour classes (state/city)” Creative: showing something about dogs pulling in their lead, or a sad dog looking out the window. Or something like that

If you want to setup ads that convert, do these 3 things first. >> Research Your Ideal customer to figure out 2-3 painful problems they are having and want solved. They must also be willing to pay to have that problem solved and able to pay the price you desire. >> Create an offer. Your offer should solve the most painful problem they have and the price of your offer must be less than the value they are getting. This will help you overcome resistance Can you be available for a quick chat??
