How To Set Goals | Long-Term vs. Short-Term?
In this video, I would like to talk about setting long-term goals vs. short-term goals. Whether you are setting long-term or short-term goals the point is to set goals for yourself. Goals help you more forward in life and if they are set correctly then each day that you wake up you will feel great knowing that your day has purpose or meaning. Not a single person wants to go through life without meaning. It is boring and this is how people get depressed. You need to set goals every day that you wake up. If you complete one goal, then you need to set another. This is how the rich become richer and how new technologies are invented. I know this video is focusing on long-term vs. short-term, but the main message is to pick a goal that you value the most and get them. I support both, however I think one is better. Short term vs long term
What are short-term goals?
Short-term goals are your more immediate expenses. Although timelines vary, these are the things you’ll spend money on generally within a few months or years.
Short-term goal examples:
• Emergency fund.
• Payments toward rent, insurance or student loans.
• Credit card debt payments.
• Personal goods.
• Travel.
• Wedding.
• Minor repairs and home improvements.
What are long-term goals?
Long-term goals are usually your big-picture costs. These goals may take several years or even decades to reach. Your distant goals typically involve more money and regular attention than short-term goals.
Long-term goal examples:
• Retirement fund.
• Paying off a mortgage.
• Starting a business.
• Saving for a child’s college tuition.
Why I think short term is better than long term:
• Sense of accomplishment
• Pushes you forward
• Chip away a long term goals
• You know the time line
•
• I am a true fan or daily goals.
• Examples of my type of goals:
• Save 50% of my weekly income
• Wake up early next week
• Go to the gym and lost 5 lbs

this is amazing, I have been meaning to write down my short and long term goals. writing the goals would keep me remember things in an exact way.

Long term money goals is the key 👍
One short term goal was getting debt free in 6 months. Did it in 4. Long term is funding a savings account or a low risk investment that grows for 20 years

I should really try to have long term money goals set in place, but just hard when you hardly have nothing left at the end of the month. I do work out all of the time, wanting to get in shape, so I guess that counts. But nothing financially.
