Thank you, we really appreciate that! We agree with you too, but we're probably a little biased (lol!), so it's always nice to hear it from our viewers - thank you! --- To help support us (for both you and others reading this) there are a few things you can do: 1) Donations both needed and welcome! Thanks for the video. But I have a question (or concern): We have a 2012 Volkswagen Routan with the 3.6L V-6 Pentastar, which you probably know is just a Dodge Grand Caravan/Town & Country that was re-badged for VW for a while. The owner's manual says to use 5W-30 grade engine oil. However, the oil fill cap says to use 5W-20, and that's the grade you used in this video for the same engine. Which grade is correct, and does it matter? Our van has about 137,000 miles on it, and it was a fleet service vehicle before we bought it. What are your thoughts, thanks!

Yes, there's quite a lot of discussion on this topic online. The general consensus is that both are accepted grades, and it could be that the 5w30 is recommended where climates are warmer, and 5w20 where climates are cooler, but that both can be used. Also the 5w20 MAY give slightly better fuel consumption (but in reality this would likely not be noticeable). We'll be sticking with 5w20, but worth a little online research if you are concerned as there's a lot of discussion on various forums etc on this subject which may help you make your own decision. Hope that helps (a bit!) --- To help support us (for both you and others reading this) there are a few things you can do: 1) Donations both needed and welcome! @@YouWrench Thanks for the reply! In the year or so that we've owned our van, we've taken it to the local quick oil change shop each time for a service, and they have used 5w-30 (or so they claim on the ticket). I was getting confused when researching how to change the oil myself. I think what I'll try is, when another oil change comes due next month, I'll use 5w-20 to handle the cooler weather...we are in Alabama, so it won't get really cold until January, but I plan on doing a lot of driving during the holiday season as well. I appreciate all the great vehicle-specific content!

Oil drain plug torque specs shouldn’t be more than 25Nm. 45Nm is too much.

Just double-checked in the Dodge workshop manual, and it is defintely listed at 45nm for the oil drain plug. --- To help support us (for both you and others reading this) there are a few things you can do: 1) Donations both needed and welcome!
