    Very knowledgeable and easily explained. If you could kindly provide an explanation: Why would exhaust A continue to leak without experiencing pressure? Could this issue be attributed to a faulty solenoid or piston O-rings failing to retain air, consequently leading to leakage and necessitating a return to E1?

  • @mastermechanicaldesign

    @mastermechanicaldesign

    3 ай бұрын

    Yes, if exhaust port is continue exhausting after pneumatic cylinder reached the end position, then either solenoid valve or pneumatic cylinder is faulty. to check the pneumatic cylinder piston leakage, you could simply connect the one port of pneumatic cylinder to compressed air directly and at another port check with fingers, if there will be a leakage in piston ring, you will feel some air pressure. if not, then your pneumatic cylinder is okay. Same you can do with solenoid valve, connect the pressure port of solenoid valve to compress air, and close port A and see is both exhaust port E1 and E2 exhausting the air ? also try to shift the position of solenoid valve and check it again. if both exhaust port is exhausting then there can be internal leakage inside the solenoid valve, also do check the fittings and flow controller, these can be leakage.

    Hello, what kind of valve combination do I have to use by a vertical pneumatic lifting application to prevent the mass falls down when the air pressure is shutdown. Friendly regards from Belgium

  • @mastermechanicaldesign

    @mastermechanicaldesign

    16 күн бұрын

    You most welcome, I am so glad you are watching me from beautiful part of this world. However, to prevent the mass falls down when air is shutdown, (I guess you mean sudden loss of air) you must use "pilot operated check Valve" at both port of pneumatic actuator. or at least at port B (lower side port)

    How to control pneumatic cylinder force without compromise with cylinder speed ... please suggest

  • @mastermechanicaldesign

    @mastermechanicaldesign

    Жыл бұрын

    Sure Appu sir, Simply we should reduce or increase the pressure at pressure regulator (We can monitor on dial gauge). because as we know force is only depend on pressure and bore diameter of a pneumatic cylinder. and speed would not change theoretically... because speed of the pneumatic cylinder depends on rate of air flow not on pressure.. but there is a thing.. because air is compressible, when we reduce the pressure up to certain level.. required pressure building in air, starts consuming time.. same when we increase the pressure too much.. speed might feels changes Second though is inertia.. high pressure generate high stating acceleration.. and low pressure will generate low inertia.. if pneumatic cylinder is attached with heavy moving mass.. there will be definitely change in speed.. So the bottom line is we have to adjust have to tube the flow controller after changing in pressure.. Top of that we should always select the correct size of pneumatic cylinder size at working pressure.. I hope this will help you..

    I would like to charge a 5-port manifold with compressed air via a quick connect hose and then remove said hose prior to starting a machining operation. The purpose of this would be to actuate 5 individual clamps to hold 5 individual workpieces for light machining. Would a one way valve be enough to keep the system pressurized during a cycle or would I have to plumb a permanent air supply within the machine environment? Thanks

  • @mastermechanicaldesign

    @mastermechanicaldesign

    Ай бұрын

    As i understand, You have some pneumatic clamps. And you have to clamp the components for a long period of time. So you want to pressurize all the clamps at once and seal the air. So Your clamp will remain clamped. Wow that's nice 👍 Yes it is possible. But with time, may be after a day (depends on fittings and cylinder internal leakage), pressure will drop and will not be clamped) So it would be better if you could provide a continuous air supply in clamps, and keep the valve port ON. so leakage will be compensated all the time. Us 2/2 valve If you want to release air sometimes for any reason use 3/2 valve.

    What is the difference between meter in and meter out circuit ?

  • @mastermechanicaldesign

    @mastermechanicaldesign

    5 ай бұрын

    There are two design of air flow controller, As name self explanatory- Meter in means controller control air during IN, and do nothing when air OUT, and in meter out controller, Air control when OUT, and do nothing when air IN, We mostly use Meter Out with dual acting pneumatic cylinder

  • @mastermechanicaldesign

    2/1 means two port (one inlet one outlet) only one position, why you need this valve? I guess you will need 2/2 or 2/3 ?? these values are called process valves, you can find these valves commercially.
