    Sir what if pneumatic cylinder is in horizontal, vertical and certain angle? Then how to find pneumatic cylinder calculation? Same calculation will follow or we have to add gravitational force into this equation?

  • @mastermechanicaldesign

    @mastermechanicaldesign

    5 ай бұрын

    Pneumatic cylinder bore diameter calculation will remain the same in all the situations (Bore Area = Force/Area) But Force calculation will change in Horizontal and certain angle conditions, Force = mass X g X coefficient of friction of guide X cos A In Horizontal condition Cos A = 0, means 1 So, in Horizontal condition= mg X coefficient of friction

    Hello, I was wondering why most pneumatic cylinders are rated at 1MPa pressure even though the material is capable of handling much more than that? Reason am asking because I've been looking for a penumatic cylinder that is rated to at least 5MPa pressure?

  • @mastermechanicaldesign

    @mastermechanicaldesign

    2 ай бұрын

    actually this is not about cylinder material capacity. It's about producing and storing the air pressure. And for commercial use air pressure is allowed to 1 MPa only.

  • @yesImAliveYeees

    @yesImAliveYeees

    2 ай бұрын

    @mastermechanicaldesign OK, the question I should ask then, if a cylinder is rated at 1MPa, can I feed it with 8 MPa air pressure, will it be able to withstand it for few minutes for example? What do you think

  • @mastermechanicaldesign

    @mastermechanicaldesign

    2 ай бұрын

    No you should not feed 8 Mpa, because pneumatic cylinders manufacture the cylinders at rated pressure 1 Mpa only. Because they know that pressure is never going to be beyond 1 Mpa. But if you really want to operate on 8 MPa (i don't have any idea how you goona produce that much high air pressure) You can use a hydraulic cylinder.

    sir in cylinder return stroke the rod diameter matter

  • @mastermechanicaldesign

    @mastermechanicaldesign

    Ай бұрын

    Yes, if load is applied during reverse stroke. Rod diameter will matter. Because the rod diameter area will be minus from the piston diameter area. The effective piston area will decrease. So minus the rod area from the piston area and then calculate force or required pressure.

    Sir force to kg me hota hi nhi h wo to Newton me hota h to aap ne force kg me kyu liya or agar 35kg hum force bhi mane to wo 35N hoga na

  • @mastermechanicaldesign

    @mastermechanicaldesign

    5 ай бұрын

    Ha force Kg me nahi, Newton me hota hai. Pr hum Load ko Kg me bhi bol dete hai, jese ki bolte hai na 1 Ton ka load hai, To yaha pe hume pneumatic cylinder se 35 kg jitna load lagna tha, (Technically 35 Kilogram-force) Aur Kgf se Newton me convert karne ke liye, Hum Mass (Kg) me 1g (9.81 m/s2) se multiply kate hai, means 35X9.81 = approx 350 Netwon, But pneumatic cylinder ke selection me hum Factor of Safety bhi consider krna hota hai, to isme 1.5 times liya hai, means 350X1.5 = 525 Netwon.

  • @ManjeetKaur-nq4nu

    @ManjeetKaur-nq4nu

    Sir but Newton me to gravity ki value include hoti hai to hume agar 35kg koi bole to hme 35 divide by 9.81 karna chahiye na taki hamari value Newton me aaye i think

  • @mastermechanicaldesign

    @mastermechanicaldesign

    5 ай бұрын

    Nahi aap aise samjho, 35 Kg mass hai. (Weight nhi hai) Aur Weight Force (N) equal to Mass (Kg) X acceleration (g) Isliye 35 X 9.81 Means ak 35 Kg mass ki object, earth ke upar 35X9.81 Newton ki "weight force" apply karti hai. Isliye hum is weight force ko kgf bhi bolte hai 1Kgf = 9.8 Newton 35Kgf = 35X9.81 Newton

    How did you select the stroke length of 150 mm for 10mm press depth. I have a press depth of 5 mm so what should be the stroke length

  • @mastermechanicaldesign

    @mastermechanicaldesign

    11 ай бұрын

    Actually i have explained this, in this video. Anyway.. technically for 5 mm pressing depth. 5 mm or any stroke length value more than 5 mm can work. But for pressing first we have to do the placement of the part into the fixture. And during placement, There should be enough gap (150-200 mm) between fixture and top pressing tool So that we can easily place our components into fixture without touching the top press. So we should consider the components size as well. Let say. Your pressing depth is 5 mm Components size is 100 mm Then we should consider stroke length 5 + 100 + 150 (gap between top tool and bottom fixture) = 250 mm approx. Or more
