If OBS doesn't let you make a window transparent -> don't run it as admin cause it blocks the program from controlling the obs dock

You were the only person who was able to solve my issue of chat not showing up on my OBS. The “custom size on stream labs solved the problem. Thank you SO much.

Wow. I just bought a 2nd monitor just to see the comments in my stream so I can reply to them. If I knew this before, I would've not buy that for dual monitor purpose. Very helpful video🤘

Playing windowed screen may lower your game performance by a lot so its good you got a second monitor!

HUGE W video here. I am a smaller streamer and sometimes don't get a lot of chatters and when I do see a chat, it's 3-4 minutes late and they have already left. Can't wait to try this program out!

Excellent, thank you! The Stream Elements option is the cleanest, allowing me to minimise the extra clutter on my screen while playing, but it misses the events. Is there a way to get chat and events like in the OBS pop out, in a Stream Elements custom overlay?

For some reason this doesn't work for me anymore. IDK if its the game or what but the window will go transparent, but it won't be visible unless active. I can't see it in game, which is windowed. It just doesn't stay up its weird.

Fix for Not Working: So what I found was you have to disable 'run as admin' within OBS application properties under advance option in properties and within the computability tab as well to get it to work. So two places where 'run as admin' sneaks its way into your obs compatibility are within "advance" option when you right click on application in taskbar, desktop icon for program, or after navigating to program file location.

This is helpful but my problem lies in Twitch chat itself 😫 I'm not sure when it started, but my twitch chat doesn't show up chat. I found out that someone was chatting to me when I looked at the chat on OBS(have my Twitch account connected). It's so funny how the OBS shows someone chatting and Twitch itself doesn't, on all platforms(mobile app, website) 😣 I think I'm going back to streaming on KZread I'll try connecting my chat to elements before I go back tho... 1 last troubleshooting

Is the transparent chat only visible when streaming the game, or is the transparent window also visible when streaming the whole screen (monitor)?

HI. Question. I took notice that you have A LOT of Overlays in Stream Elements. Why is that? What is the benefit of having so many individual Overlay when when you can create a single Overlay Project you can add multiple Overlay for other alerts in that single Overlay Canvas. Could you shed some light on this? Thanks.

if you use SLOBS there is something called Game Overlay which does the same thing as what they showed in the video

lost count how many times i had to skip back to relisten to what you said i needed to do for stream overlay due to telling us what to do to quickly... but i got there in the end,,,,, not everyone is speedy just so you know

It wont work on yt. I had tried to use the see though thing but whenever i tried to use it it wouldnt work or it would ask me to print somthing.

I am unable to install see through windows It says .net framework 2.0 required and when i installed .net framework its still saying the same thing
