Twist both sides of the straps but don't run your chains like that. Four straps and you're good if not using chains. If you're using chassis, just secure at the corners and you don't need straps.

Whatever side the Rachet is on is where the stress is an it will pull load that direction, binder should be in the center of the load on the rear,or use 2 binders 1 on each side

@@anthonydterrybro the shipper didn't help me at all. In fact they said I have to get off their yard in 45 minutes because they lock the gate. I guess I got there close to when they close. I went to the one in Chicago. They were nice but didn't give any advice or direction.

@@anthonydterryi ask the loader for any tips or help he looked at me like I was crazy. I drove dry van tractor trailer combination for 6 years and now doing this because offered more money. But was not really shown how to secure anything just thrown out there

I like to secure containers with chains and straps.
I have to load three pod containers tomorrow, are straps and chains needed?
@anthonydterry
10 ай бұрын
I would strap all of them but only chain the back of the last pod and the front of the pod that’s at the front of the trailer
Thank Hebrew king, I just started moving containers to day, needed to watch that

😂😂😂 if you check your chains and straps every 50 miles, then it's not done right. It's not like lugs on a new trailer. Per DOT, 4 of those 4" straps by themselves strategically placed will suffice. Per DOT, only one chain on the front and one in the rear will suffice. I wish I could send you a better and actual faster way. Will save you lots of time my brotha. 💯💪🏽💪🏽

what you need to know?
My trailer is similar but it seems like my chains are too short to do it like this. I really like this way seems to work good. Guy that helped me said the chains my company provided were too short and i only have 2 inch straps
@anthonydterry

Depending on the distance you’re going most guys throw 4 straps on and one chain in the back pulling towards the front of the trailer. Hope that helps bro
Running that chain through them slots is a choke point for your chain not to tighten at while binding. Strap to trailer in one eyelet and run to the corner do not snake that chain through it’s not nearly as strong

Why you running chains down your trailer? Grab a corner and tie it down four corners and cross the back two chains

Overkill with the chains but good job. I only use 4 straps and that’s it.

No such thing as overkill. Better safe than sorry. Those containers are no joke especially when the cargo is packed in there not secured. I have seen tons of containers videos falling off the chassis
If you chain it down you don’t need straps on it, help you save some time bro

Hey. You are definitely wasting time snaking you're chain like that. Great content. But that's not needed and it's actually overkill on your chains.
