Just found this video , this is what I'm currently doing . My trailer has a hydraulic lift and a beefy chain winch that runs recessed down the middle and hydraulic sliding axles . We haul the refrigerated units 40 and 20s and some with the aux generator units attached, very heavy . Good stuff .

Hey I need this done Where are you
I`ve never seen how they load those containers onto flatbeds and i searched it up. very cool video, thanks for your hardwork sir.
live in the mountains out west, used to deliver 40s with a 36ft tridem gooseneck. got tired of people wanting them in places only a skycrane helicopter could place them, downsized my equipment. i cut 40s up into 20s 16s and 12s put in rollup doors and hinged fire doors on the cut ends. "no custom work" just what i want to do. ,built a container mover machine so when i drop off the unit i then take it to the location on site for the customer , i enjoy my business , hope you do , your trailer is perfect for what u do.

Why aren't your straps 1/2 turned from top to bottom. Vibration from wind usually damages the straps if you don't do this. Really nice trailer.

It was a short trip, low speed.
Time to hot the road...not in California. That truck and trailer length in over 65 feet. You start the video with the container off the ground. How did you unload it. was it chained to something else?
Does this damage your trailer deck at all? Looking to haul one for my self... thanks

What's the capacity for the winch you are using? I just bought a brand new trailer and want to install one. Great video!

I have my setup going, but still continue to straggle with the winch. My batteries are in the side compartment similar to yours somewhat in the middle of the trailer, I instal 0-2 gage wire with a fuse from the batteries to the winch, but when this comes to pull the container up sounds like the batteries doesn't have juice to do the work a doesn't pulls, but the hydraulic dovetail works great up and down even with a 40ft container on it! do you have separate batteries for the hydraulic dovetail and for the winch? What Im assuming is that there is too much distance for the power to travel from the batteries to the winch?
@TitanicTrailerServices
Жыл бұрын
@@franciscolomeli72 On both my trailers have a direct line from the truck's battery in the front to the back of the truck, and have quick connects to connect the trailer to that line. I find when I'm using the winch a lot battery power alone is not enough. Having it directly connected to the truck helps the trailer battery regenerate between uses and keeps a constant supply of power to the winch when it's under heavy load.

@@TitanicTrailerServices Thankyou for the reply, I meant how much space do you leave between the front of the container and the gooseneck. I.e 40’ deck, If you left 5’ then it could be done with a 35’ deck.
@TitanicTrailerServices

@@Toolingabout a 35-ft trailer could physically transport a 40-ft container. It would all depend on how much overhang you're allowed in your area.

How much should it cost to move a 40footer say 12 to 15 miles, Im in central florida...just wondering
@TitanicTrailerServices
Жыл бұрын
We are located in Canada and don't operate in Florida. The cost to move a shipping container would be up to the transporter. Our pricing would be between $390 - $540 + tax for a local transport (tilt and load service). Pricing of other service providers may be different

@TitanicTrailerServices

@@franciscolomeli72 there isn't room to do a reverse winch with this trailer If I had a center track that was recessed into the deck I could run a line to the tail and using a snatch block run the cable back to the front of the container and reverse winch it that way. For this trailer, we just anchor to something and pull it back about 10'
@franciscolomeli72
2 жыл бұрын
@@TitanicTrailerServices got it and make sense. Mine is the same thing, but the way I am thinking to do this is by running the winch line through the container front hole and bring it back to the middle of the trailer, then use one of the round members on the side of the trailer (I don't know how those are call) Then bring the hook to the front of the container and start the reverse process. I just brought the trailer last night and haven't put this in practice yet, I ust want to be prepared for deliveries in the middle of nowhere!
