I would love to learn more about the mods you did to your trailer to prevent breaking the traction bars off on the hydro dove. I have a similar trailer and have been trying to figure out the best way to get a container on and off without damaging the trailer.

If I were to order a new trailer I would get it with the traction bars shortened so they don't touch the outer 5 to 6 in of the deck Edge. That way the container corner pockets can slide easily along the outer rail. Currently I have 3"x3"x9.5' angle iron rails on the tail to keep the container above the traction cleats

I tried drop in stake pocket rails initially so I could remove them when not needed, but the constant bouncing and jostling of the tail when you're on the highway causes vibration and wear that destroys the pins and they'll always tend to pop out stake pockets

I just subbed, thank you for the content. I’m looking at ordering one of these trailers. I’ve been eying out Kerr Bilt, but I’ve seen a couple comments about their trailers get bent after the first couple boxes. What are your thoughts? Do you have any recommended companies to go through? TIA

From what I've heard if you get the trailer that is a container only trailer, meaning the one with just the frame and no wooden deck those ones are a bit more fragile, and the tail can bend. The one that I have with the full wooden deck, does have some flexibility to the duck but is pretty sturdy and hasn't had any long-standing problems

Just found this video , this is what I'm currently doing . My trailer has a hydraulic lift and a beefy chain winch that runs recessed down the middle and hydraulic sliding axles . We haul the refrigerated units 40 and 20s and some with the aux generator units attached, very heavy . Good stuff .

If you're in the US you may be able to find companies that rent gooseneck hotshot trailers. You may have to Google it to find a local rental place. In Ontario where I'm based, I don't know of any companies that rent Gooseneck flatbed trailers

We are located in Canada and don't operate in Florida. The cost to move a shipping container would be up to the transporter. Our pricing would be between $390 - $540 + tax for a local transport (tilt and load service). Pricing of other service providers may be different

At that time I was using a 17,500 lb winch. I would recommend a 20,000 lb winch if you have a choice. More capacity is better 😎👍

I have my setup going, but still continue to straggle with the winch. My batteries are in the side compartment similar to yours somewhat in the middle of the trailer, I instal 0-2 gage wire with a fuse from the batteries to the winch, but when this comes to pull the container up sounds like the batteries doesn't have juice to do the work a doesn't pulls, but the hydraulic dovetail works great up and down even with a 40ft container on it! do you have separate batteries for the hydraulic dovetail and for the winch? What Im assuming is that there is too much distance for the power to travel from the batteries to the winch?

@@franciscolomeli72 On both my trailers have a direct line from the truck's battery in the front to the back of the truck, and have quick connects to connect the trailer to that line. I find when I'm using the winch a lot battery power alone is not enough. Having it directly connected to the truck helps the trailer battery regenerate between uses and keeps a constant supply of power to the winch when it's under heavy load.

Wouldn't you need a lowboy trailer to transport that backhoe? My backhoe is 10 ft to the top of the cab. I was thinking that you can only go 13ft 6in thanks for the video

I have a ditch witch rt45 (7k lbs) and a Kubota U26 (6800lbs). Could I tow these with 2021 F-350 non dually?

Hauling both together would be done best with a dually because you are able to put more weight of the load weight on the drive axle of the truck, giving you better control. On a srw truck it would be very easy to be overweight on your drive axle with that kind of weight.

@@franciscolomeli72 there isn't room to do a reverse winch with this trailer If I had a center track that was recessed into the deck I could run a line to the tail and using a snatch block run the cable back to the front of the container and reverse winch it that way. For this trailer, we just anchor to something and pull it back about 10'

Mine is the same thing, but the way I am thinking to do this is by running the winch line through the container front hole and bring it back to the middle of the trailer, then use one of the round members on the side of the trailer (I don't know how those are call) Then bring the hook to the front of the container and start the reverse process. I just brought the trailer last night and haven't put this in practice yet, I ust want to be prepared for deliveries in the middle of nowhere!

live in the mountains out west, used to deliver 40s with a 36ft tridem gooseneck. got tired of people wanting them in places only a skycrane helicopter could place them, downsized my equipment. i cut 40s up into 20s 16s and 12s put in rollup doors and hinged fire doors on the cut ends. "no custom work" just what i want to do. ,built a container mover machine so when i drop off the unit i then take it to the location on site for the customer , i enjoy my business , hope you do , your trailer is perfect for what u do.

Nice video, If I may make a few suggestions, First off, I won't comment on the type of music as everyone has their own style but the music is way too loud. Secondly, your voice volume is way too quiet. So what happens as I am listening to this video is I have to turn up the volume to max to hear you talk then turn down the volume to min when the music plays. A more balanced approach to the voice versus the music would make this video a more pleasant experience. As to the content, I like it. Keep up the good work and I look forward to the next video.

@@franciscolomeli72 there isn't room to do a reverse winch with this trailer If I had a center track that was recessed into the deck I could run a line to the tail and using a snatch block run the cable back to the front of the container and reverse winch it that way. For this trailer, we just anchor to something and pull it back about 10'
@@TitanicTrailerServices got it and make sense. Mine is the same thing, but the way I am thinking to do this is by running the winch line through the container front hole and bring it back to the middle of the trailer, then use one of the round members on the side of the trailer (I don't know how those are call) Then bring the hook to the front of the container and start the reverse process. I just brought the trailer last night and haven't put this in practice yet, I ust want to be prepared for deliveries in the middle of nowhere!
live in the mountains out west, used to deliver 40s with a 36ft tridem gooseneck. got tired of people wanting them in places only a skycrane helicopter could place them, downsized my equipment. i cut 40s up into 20s 16s and 12s put in rollup doors and hinged fire doors on the cut ends. "no custom work" just what i want to do. ,built a container mover machine so when i drop off the unit i then take it to the location on site for the customer , i enjoy my business , hope you do , your trailer is perfect for what u do.

That's all trucking they want it in a place only a horse and buggy can get into butt a truck put it in their the 1st time do you should not have a problem L.o.l.

The old 450 dozers weigh around 14,500. The 450 track loaders are somewhere around 16,500 lbs.
Nice video, If I may make a few suggestions, First off, I won't comment on the type of music as everyone has their own style but the music is way too loud. Secondly, your voice volume is way too quiet. So what happens as I am listening to this video is I have to turn up the volume to max to hear you talk then turn down the volume to min when the music plays. A more balanced approach to the voice versus the music would make this video a more pleasant experience. As to the content, I like it. Keep up the good work and I look forward to the next video.
