The detail on the droid's chest is an ink cartridge circuit board. The diorama/base with the crater and the crystal cluster was made using DAS air dry clay on top of a section of 20 cm diameter PVC pipe for construction work...The base is hollow and hides a powerful LED light to light up the cluster from below. As for the "crystals" I am not really sure, but I think we are talking about a kind of quartz, definitely not the purest (but that is really the point), that comes in various degrees of translucence. A very interesting material I dealt with for the first time. I'll make a video on it, and continue experimenting with it for sure!
