Total agreement. That is why I gave up on Campaign Ships a long time ago. Most are either hypotheticals of other hypotheticals already ingame, OR tired mash-ups - a Russian 'Nelson', or a Bismarck with Scharnhorst guns, etc., etc.. Am I getting the Schroder? Yes.

I can already see WG nerf this things secondary’s into the ground like they did with the Italian BBs and German BCs. Yeah they’re usable, just nothing compared to what they used to be

Everyone always acts like WG wants to nerf powerful ships all of the time. 1.) There's been, what, one? balance change to ship abilities in what feels like six months? It doesn't happen that often. 2.) WG doesn't often nerf ships, especially premiums, given the laws in Europe that govern in game purchases. 3.) There is absolutely no way this ship performs at or above the performance thresholds they look for based on reviews so far. The main guns stink, no torps, and doesn't have amazing speed or concealment. It is a memeboat, as we seemingly have been getting a lot of in recent campaigns.

@Mr-Hakim 13.1 km base concealment seems pretty good off the jump, but given the tradeoff that you'll want to make by running a secondary-focused battleship commander, with secondary battery inspirations, it may not be as good as you'd like in practice.

@@zackgarrow5367 If you give up a secondary inspiration for Mikawa, I believe Schröder still gets around 10.6km concealment. Making it among the top concealments for supercruisers in the game still. Without Mikawa, it’s around 11.3km, being 0.6km better concealed than the average supercruiser at the tier.

Anchorage, Jager, Schroeder…can’t say they aren’t giving us unique feeling ships

Finally a campaign ship that’s different *AND* fun!

Also adding, the secondaries absolutely chew up cruisers. Reversing in is funny as most secs are concentrated on the rear and putting yourself in a kiting position (even without kiting) will lead to some success in my experience

Ya, there’s an extra 150mm turret at the back, just got to watch out for the flat wedges that can arm a lot of incoming shells

Oh yeah, I can’t recall the armor there but that’s the only downside. I’m full meme build myself, Bismarck, hipper haruna, 😂 2.3sec on the 128, and 4.5 on the 150s it’s straight goofy. Tested it against a friend with Napoli Ina training room and Schroeder won. But Napoli was more consistent.

AL Bismarck/Scharnhorst and Hide are probably better choices than Cilliax if you have them

This ship is a beast. It can definitely put up a good fight and hold its own.🏴‍☠️💯
