How's it going, you mob?
Remember I made a video counting 1 to 100 with an Australian accent last week - hope you guys enjoyed that one.
And this time, we're going to focus on pronouncing numbers ending with -teen and -ty!
Like, thirteen, fourteen, and thirty, forty, etc.
Join me today as I breakdown the pronunciation guide for these special numbers.
Towards the end of the video, you will be given an opportunity to practice listening -- listen very carefully, pause and rewind as much as you want, as these numbers are quite tricky to listen to.
Don't forget to practice in front of the mirror, say each word clearly, and smile at yourself - you are doing a great job!
Improve your listening skills today - listen, play, & pause this episode - and start speaking like a native English speaker!
If you're someone learning Australian English as a second language and you want to improve your pronunciation, reduce your foreign accent and sound more like an Australian when you speak English, check out my content at Aussie English - www.aussieenglish.com.au
And grab my Australian Pronunciation Course here - www.aussieenglish.com.au/courses

@@AussieEnglishPodcast This may sound dumb, but what if I suggest you to make a video on how Australian say alphabet. I know the alphabet is the most basic one, why should we mention it? But the point is recently I have got a chance to work with Australian people and I often mishear their pronunciation of the alphabet, like we often have particular name for technical drawing (for example JC1987, PR1765, etc.), and when they say those coded names, I misheard them into something else (some other letters instead of the ones were talked about). I work with 2 Australians and the pronunciation of one of them really gives me hard time. I know my listening skill is not good enough to hear him clearly, but his accent is quite a challenge for me. He speaks so fast and it takes me longer to figure out what he is speaking, and many times I couldn't understand what he means. Even after I ask him to repeat, I still don't understand it. My bad! I tried to ask him to slow down while speaking, but it seems that his speed is still very fast to me, and it would make him uncomfortable to ask him to slow down all the time. How to get acquainted to a particular Australian accent in the possible shortest time? And how to know which accent that Australian is speaking? I don't have this same problem with the other one. His speaking is clearer and he seems to speak more slowly. If all Australians had the same accent like you, I would never have this problem. I could understand almost everything you said in whatever video I randomly clicked on.
