Hi, how's it going? English is for me old german man very difficult, and fast speaking or aussi slang is the hardest... But I have to learn, soon I'm going to go for 4 months to Mornington to family of my wife and later, we will move and live there. To watch your cideos helps me al little. Thanks.

in New York we also say how zedt goin.. but sometimes we get even more colloquial and say ha warr ya.. how YOU doin!!! lol.. I'm walkin here, fuggetaboutit lol ok those last three I'm just jokin but maybe an older Italian paisan in Brooklyn or the Bronx might actually still say that.. usually if we talk like that, it's in jest and we're bustin chops.. as I attempt to sound aussie.. i throw a little Canadian speech pattern in there by accident sometimes..

why am I watching a video on how to pronounce a phrase in my own language, and why am I loving it? if it's not too much of a distraction, I would like to hear maybe a bit of history about a phrase if its not too hard to find

I hear Australians saying how ya going way more than how’s it going

do people in America actually say how's going?

Cobber -- as an educator, never never reinforce the _wrong_ way to use a phrase! You spent so much time saying "Dont ever say "How's going?"" (So the lesson becomes "How Brazilians Say It Wrong.") I had to be 3 min into your video before I understood that as the _wrong_ way. Much better to spend all that time actually saying the correct usage. There are 1000 ways to do something wrong - 1 way to do it right teach the right way only: bob's your uncle, people will learn/do the right way the first time, every time. Good on ya!
