How To Save TONS of Money On Gas With Your S550 Mustang GT | 2 FREE Methods!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

We discuss how to get better gas mileage on your S550 Mustang GT. I have a 2019 Mustang GT and have noticed mpg improvement on my Mustang GT. S550 Mustang GT aren't fuel efficient due to big engine like the 5.0 but it's easy to get great gas mileage on these S550 Mustang GT.
However, these 2 free methods allow the Mustang owners to save money on filling up by getting better gas mileage. In my case my 2019 Mustang GT has seen improved fuel economy while still running 93 Octane.
While fuel economy isn't the first question that comes to S550 Mustang GT, it helps to save money while filling up your S550 Mustang GT. My 2019 Mustang GT offers great gas mileage thanks to the 10 speed automatic transmission.

    Our drummer put 87 octane Sunoco non ethanol in his 2014 GT and it gave him about 369 miles per tank and when he goes to a station with ethanol gas he gets between 284-333 miles per tank, depending how poor the ethanol fuel is. If you drive like there’s a egg under your foot you will get considerably better fuel mileage.

    Yeah that’s true also. Typically higher octane at least on 2015+ will get slightly better mpg. So the extra gas cost is somewhat offset by that

    I have a rousch cold air kit and VMP tune on my 2018 5.0. I use 91 octane premium gas. I have oil changers substitute a quart of hyper lube for a quart of oil when servicing my car. It makes a noticeable difference in performance. I get 27 or 28 mpg on freeways at 70 mph.

    Octane makes no difference in gas mileage. The engine ECU will adjust engine ignition timing at high RPMs to account for 87 vs. higher octane. That has no difference during "normal" driving. What makes the most difference is amount of throttle being applied while you drive. We don't hold the engine at 7,000 rpm the entire time we are driving car, etc.

  • @Red5oh

    @Red5oh

    Ай бұрын

    Yes that’s 87 vs 93 won’t be significant and mostly comes down to actual throttle being applied. However 93 does burn more efficiently thus causing slightly improved mpg. Although it’s better out due to increased price
