I just yelled out loud with joy. The other day I asked a colleague "Isn't there some sort of way in After Effects to like...you know...save? Your animations? To easily use them again?" and I don't know if he didn't know or what but he gave me like a three minute answer about how he just copies the parameters over and over again. You rock.

uhh i just figured out that if it doesn't let you copy all the effects then go down to the clip and click the small arrow ">" and go under effects and hold click drag the ones you want to make a preset as and go to animation and you should be able to click "save as animation"

Hey Aleya, Can you help me out a little? check this first: I'm making a visualizer, i made everything else but i wanted the shaky effect so i applied the magnification effect to an adjustment layer using keyframes from an audio.. i want an image to be placed below the Visualizer, but when i place it below everything, the effect gets applied to it. How can i place it without the effect being applied? Thanks..

hold shift and click. you can also highlight specific ones by holding ctrl instead

It saves in the location of your After Effects. For most people that is c/program files/after effects/support files/presets or in your documents you could have a custom folder for after effects with user presets in there. Depends a bit.
