1. Hell yes, teaching/directing choirs is incredibly rewarding. As long as you find you love it, never let anyone pull you down about going into the arts and/or arts education! 2. If you haven't watched the Sister Act movies, especially the second one, I earnestly recommend you get on that! Those were major spiritual influences on me as a choir kid and once-upon-a-time occasional music teacher and baby choir director. It turned out not to be my Main Real Thing but it's DOPE and I hope you get lots of inspiration from those movies like I did!

the 4th guy's bass is amazing.

All great work, but gotta say, in every chain I see, guy 3 is underrated af. He adds a juicy dimension that's so, so perfectly executed. The first "lost a friend" after his entry is just ... MMMMM. It was a pretty straightforward choice for where to go with the harmony on "friend" but he still picked _just_ right and it blended _just_ right and omg 👌 Plus "bitterness" is a very subtle tricky part to get right for this chain, for all the voices, but I'd argue it's especially easy to make it messy on the line he chose, so points for that too. Guy 2 deserves more cred too, love the commitment to the dissonance, perfect choice. That's the only part where I'd say "bitterness" isn't tricky because he holds it steady whereas all the other voices have to bend its pitch a bit, but he perfectly committed to that and it was exactly the right way to do the line he chose. Bending those notes would've been weird. What can I say, I love a good bold unbudgeable dissonance note. And allowing some unison to happen was crucial too, instead of forcing his line to be more jumpy. He really dialed in the complexity level to be perfect for the spot he had in the sequence and leave the right landscape for everything else to work with. Wish dude at 0:49 were in more uploads, his spin on a new front melody actually works really well IMO. I'm a sucker for the spicy-almost-for-the-sake-of-spicy note play and gliding around, finding all those little bits of the chords that haven't been colored in yet. Lots of other good singing here too ofc, just noticing what I'm noticing.

I really like guy 3 too!! His voice has this slightly rough quality to it that just adds to the overall smoothness of the other voices and balances everything out. It’s more obvious when he first shows up and you can hear the contrast between his and the first 2 guys’ voices
