What I'm hearing is the real Klon is clearer and just better midrange. Not a bad pedal though I wouldn't mind one for its different grit in the midrange its almost closer to the KTR IMO.

Warun dieses Pedal so overhyped wurde, verstehe ich bis heute nicht, Klingt ja nicht schlecht, aber ist auch kein definitver Gamechanger für mich. Für einen guten Clean Boost macht eine SHO für mich den Job besser, für heißere Sounds ein Box of Rock, OCD oder noch eher ein PlexiTone. Die Warm Audio Version klingt aber immerhin sehr authentisch, im Gegensatz zu diversen China Kopien, dafür ist, wenn man den Sound mag, der Preis auch angemessen. Ein echtes KC würde ich mir nicht kaufen, wenn ich bedenke, dass dafür locker zwei SLP 1959 HW, ein VH-4 oder Savage 120 drin wären, die klanglich definitv flexibler sind, erst recht nicht, aber ich lebe ja auch nicht in den USA, da ist sowieso alles ein bisschen "anders". Dass Warm Audio inzwischen drei legendäre Zerrpedale zu immerhin vernünftigen Preisen und mit amtlichem Sound anbietet, macht sie immerhin zu einem interessanten neuen Player am Markt. Aktuell für mich noch interessanter ist aber ihre Version des Mutron Phasor II... Interessante Sounds zwischen Small Stone, Phase 90 und Bi-Phase, die auch 2023 zum Glück noch nicht wirklich inflationär klingen. Würde wohl auch mal eine Demo wert sein.
