Hello would this method work with removing burgundy color to get back my natural black hair ?

What if I didn’t used bleach to dye my hair just devoloper mixed with dye meaning my hair went from black straight to red if I try this will my hair go back black ?

curious, why the Purple Shampoo? is that just to provide toning for your bleached hair? can i skip the Purple Shampoo?

Lawd! I have locs and used 30 volume developer. Semi permanent color came out but because I was just applying all over versus focusing on each loc…I have copper roots and locs mixed in with dark brown locs. How do I fix this? Go back in with another application using 10 developer or 30? And how many days should I wait? HELP!

Sorry I’m late but yes. It works on any color, for more pigmented colors you might have to repeat the steps twice

I bleech my hair then after put rince after 3 weeks i put perm it falls so i hv to cut it off can i put a blond colour to it now i was using ginger colour before

So the purple shampoo gives the bleech a brighter colour

I am about to try that tomorrow … I have red in my locks and my coworker told me to use cheap conditioner and B12 it is coming out but it’s not working as I wanted to so I’m definitely about to try your way…❤❤❤❤

my hair was dyed with adore neon pink and i want to remove the color soon, it's faded into a peach. i have 40 vol developer in my bathroom pantry, will i be able to use that instead of 10 vol? and if so will i have a shorter wait time since the developer is stronger?

I’m about to try this. I have a hunter green from kiss in my hair. I like the color but I’ll probably use it for a wig 😂 I should’ve did a funky yellow by kiss. Don’t really like kiss semi permanent hair colors. Adore is my go-to.

You can do it right away. You might have to repeat the steps twice if it’s a very pigmented blue and purple.

I JUST dyed my hair green, but have to change it for my job.. I wanna keep it blonde and not dye it black. I have locs.. but I’m going to try this!!!

Well I had no faith in this working. Thankfully I was proven wrong. My hair was a dark navy blue almost black and the front was a dark emerald green…..😂 it worked in one go i kept it in for like 45mins. I measured out 2tbs of each, I have thick curly shoulder length hair it was just enough to cover about 85% of my hair. I had to really scrub it in for it to cover all of it. It’s now a dusk blue/silver color. However I used a 20 vol developer because i only had 40 & 20 volume i normally use 40 when bleaching my virgin hair I’m gonna go in again and see if I can get the left over blue tint I’m not dying my hair yet I just wanted to see if I can wash out the dark blue because I wanna do a bright reddish brown for fall. But it worked basically I’ll forever do this technique😂😂❤❤❤❤❤

20 is the highest I would go. It won’t hurt to give it a try.

Yes it has to be purple shampoo and you can get it from your local beauty supply store or Sally’s.

Clairol? The developer? You can use any brand developer but for the red you’re going to have to do it twice

You did a great job. After the first application, can you reuse the mixture to do a second, or even a third application? Also does each application keep lightening your color?

Any dish washing liquid works but for me the color comes out faster with dawn.

You can give it a try, I left mine on for a long time once before but it was still some color left so I had to do it again and it also depends on how pigmented the color is that you’re trying to remove.

So how long after this process did you wait to put another color on

Sorry for the late response but I think it was about 2 days later. I didn’t use anymore bleach I just put a semi permanent color on my hair. It didn’t do any harm.

@@vibezwithcee I know what you’re talking about, that happened to me before. You either left it in too long or didn’t leave it in long enough. I don’t think toner is semi permanent if it is then you can try this to remove the silver but if it’s permanent then you are gonna have to let it grow out or as I said before put a color on it if you really don’t like it. Maybe it’ll grow on you🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾

Any thick concentrated dish liquid. The super loose watery kind seems like it wouldn't be potent enough.

I’m super later but if you’re hair is blonde under the brown then it’s gonna go back to blonde but if you’re naturally brown then this will not change the color

Nope it shouldn’t! I recommend not sitting near light or the sun or be around too much heat because the developer has peroxide in it. I’m not a professional but I do know that peroxide changes your natural hair color. I’m just assuming that would be the outcome.
