How to Safely Freeze Eggs | Jill 4 Today

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Learn how to freeze eggs. This is an approved method by the USDA. Once thawed (in your fridge), I doubt you'll be able to tell the difference between frozen and fresh. Use them in omelets, scrambles, fritattas, quiches, cakes, muffins, cookies, etc.

I'm so glad you mentioned the USDA approval. 2022, egg shortage. This storing method will really help, thanks!

P.S. I love that you took us through the entire process in detail from the FDA Research to the freezing to defrosting, cooking, and the grand finale: TASTING with the "Director"!!! ...And thank you!

Sauté a few mushrooms and add the eggs... yum! I have tried freezing eggs and my favorite way to eat them is with mushrooms. I highly recommend doing this.

I used ice cube trays just put the whole egg. You can drop enough for a meal in a plastic bag and lay flat in your freezer. Great idea, when I had chickens I tried to see if it would work left in a couple of months. Still tasted great. I have no room in our freezers to put anything else in there. Great idea. Thank you.

Ah, this is what I was looking for. I did a covid/winter stock up pantry in September and October; I have everything but eggs. Now I can go nuts and freeze a few dozen for baking.

Luckily we bought a freezer about six months ago which has come in very handy during this Covid 19 quarantine. Keep up your very educational videos guys. You remind me of myself and my husband of almost 57 years married.

I actually posted this on your freezing eggs video. I don’t know why it skipped to this one. But no matter this recipe is also good.

I never thought of freezing eggs Jill, great video. I also really like the jumbo eggs. BE SAFE and don’t go too stir crazy. I’m so used to working at the office it’s really hard to be inside and work from home. I feel like I’m connected to the computer these days. But I’m learning new software 🤔🧐. I think the workplace is going to change after this is over.

Thanks for this video. No pinch of salt or sugar needs to be added to these at all? I read it helps keeps the egg from jelling ? I like your way better seeing it works for you and it's faster.

Hi Judy, Thanks for writing. As I recall, the USDA recommends 6 months. It works very, very well.

Northwest Pennsylvania. My daughter saw 18 count in Butler Pa for $10.59. My husband was buying at a save a lot store a couple of weeks ago for $3 something for 18 count and last week went up to over $7. I think bird flu has a lot to do with it too.
