HoW TO : S2000 Steering Wheel . It’s easy !!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Well, we used to do how to videos in the past that past ..
I figured I'd show how easy to change the steering wheel on your S2000.
We're changing to a red stitched wheel on our car, I think it will pull in the red seats belts.

Warning! UNPLUG BATTERY!!! Its mentioned in video, but only briefly. Needs to be emphasized. Number 1 protocol for service involving airbag. Otherwise great video! Comprehensive, well explained. BTW, center bolt torque is 29 lb ft.

When I bring my S2000 down in the spring from Charlotte NC I want one of those steering wheels. I love the care you guys take when you work on S2000's.

Oh! Gosh, finally found a solution to the 06+ SRS light! Thank you so much! I suggest you slightly modify the title to add "2006+" to make it easier for those who need it to find it!

Jon: Your..killing me with these S2K upgrades and builds. The custom steering wheels are the perfect finishing touch on a built S2k. Now just have to shake the $ tree to get another S2k to go with the Scat Pack. 👍👍.

What the torque for the steering wheel bolt? Great video! Some models have different air bag connectors mine were different than yours but found video on how to disconnect it.

When I changed my steering wheel I loosend the bolt, but didn't remove it completely. That way the bolt would stop the wheel from smacking me in the face while pulling on it.

Anyone send their steering wheel in to make it a flat bottom wheel? Being 6’3 I feel like that would make a big difference, but I don’t know for sure. Good video LHT!

There’s several companies that offer that. It will gain you a little more room when in the straight position, but of course the wheel has to turn. It didn’t appeal to me.

Another neutral color for the stitching, like yellow, white, or gray, would be appreciated for blue, white, black, etc. cars.
