Thanks for this. Btw, my Chrome does not render php directly - the way you set all that up resulted in a blank screen, but the source code is correct. . I had to wrap the php part around HTML tags to get it rendered on chrome.

While using XAMPP, you need to set the PHP file in htdocs folder. No alternative for that....
