Not me running (half) marathon pace workouts in the summer heat and wondering why my pace slows down so much. lol
So true, I do it on purpose and sometimes just because that's how my day goes. Often I hear runners say it was so hot during a race (like Canyons) and I managed really well.
Just be careful. Usually run in the morning in Phoenix so still warm. Last night I went for a walk slash light run for only 30+ minutes. Half way thru I felt funny. 10 minutes later I called my wife to pick me up. I was fighting to not pass out. Didn’t realize but it was still 100 outside at 8pm and the pavement can be 40-60 degrees warmer than the air. Funny thing is I have trained a lot in the heat but my body didn’t like it last night. I won’t be doing any more night cardio outside.
