Interestingly, I learned how to drop in by learning tail stalls first and just stalling for longer each time. It helped me overcome the fear to commit to the drop in.

I’ve seen people build confidence that way as well, glad you found a way that worked for you. Please just recognize Tail stalls and drop in are similar but different. You should never get back to standing up on the deck of the ramp while doing Tail stalls. You only lean forward and push your back leg back so your tail touches and lifts your board to level and quickly drop back in

@@SkateParkLessons I can tail stall the way you describe, but i thought part of the goal was to get right back up onto the deck in a full stall, and I can't do it that way :-) I thought i was doing it wrong. I'm going to stop worrying about it now and just enjoy it. Also, keep making these videos, they're all excellent,.

@@blitzs619 I never had a single problem with tail stalls for some reason, and I'm not a great skater by any stretch. I'd say just practice them wherever on the ramp you hit the 'pause point'. If you can do them halfway, a quarter way, anywhere on the transition, doing them on the coping will be really natural. It's kind of one of those tricks where you stop over thinking it and it just feels right. Good luck man! They're really fun and useful until you come up with something else cool to do fakie like a half cab rock.

I’ve started one but he didn’t land it so we didn’t finish this video yet. Proper rock n rolls are quite difficult and not as easy as they look. Many people assume they’re the next progression after rock to fakie but they’re much harder for most people as you need a bigger quarter pipe or vert to do them correctly to have your back wheels come off the ramp when you slap the rock 💙🛹💙

Risers depend on wheel size, I ride 54mm and loose trucks so no risers. Over time you’ll learn your leaning/wheelbite point. Best Bushing are stock ace bushings or bones medium or soft bushings depending on your body weight. Thanks

I thought that’s what you meant, you need to pump up fakie with enough speed to get your head and body weight back up the ramp onto the coping and over your tail stall foot. This is the opposite of how to do a proper tail stall and be careful your board doesn’t slip out and smash your hip on the coping. 💙🛹💙
