Ehy Chad, for me this is rock to fakie tutorial n.1. in less than 4 min you say everything is needed in a clear way, excellent! Just a question: because I am still struggling with rtf, even though I landed it once,do you think it might help to learn how to drop in in fakie? Cheers man, congrats again
Heh Chad. Newbie questiions..What size wheels and hardness do you use for mini ramp? Also when u get to the coping do u ride over it or are you always 'popping' up and over and then again on way back down? Thanks for your help and vids
Great tutorials
Awesome vid bro
Love your videos Chad. Think I need to learn these on a smaller ramp so I can get over the fear factor of slamming! Haha
Great videos man

Thank you for these tips, I am going to lean back when I go on the mini ramp and wear a helmet, thank you.
Very good!
Hey Chad, really like how you break tricks down. Can you do how to's for BS rock and rolls, FS Rock and rolls, Frontside disasters, blunt to fackie, Backside 50 grinds. Keep up the great work.

Thanks Brett, I’ll work on em this week!
I got over the coping twice and fell on my hip away from the ramp both tries because I couldn't pop the truck back down over the coping. My legs felt like jello, I think I was too exhausted and tired from slamming earlier. Skating really uses muscles in a way you don't normally, I think I'll nail this once my legs get stronger. Somehow even my shoulders burn, I think from using my arms to pump.
I used to be able to rock to fakie back when I skated 13 years ago. Been practicing my rocks on a 4 ft ramp and just can't seem to commit my back foot keeps coming off but if I try a 3 foot ramp I'm still able to do them both normal and switch
great videos thanks! Quick q ive started taking my set up tricks to the 4ft, when I rock to fakie my front foot always seem to slip or move to the side not sure why this is. Maybe I move my chest forwards or I need to stay flat footed more, any idea? cheers
thanks. so first step is trucks over copping, or also the fakie part ?
Hey Chad what do you think about best wheels dimension on miniramp?
This dude should have way more subs

@@mrmug4000 that's so weird. I swear to God I got perfect rock to fakies constantly on my literal first day of skating. It just felt natural and easy to me
Hi Chad, you are my inspiration! Although, lately I also look a lot the video’s from Jon Bishop. He is so funny and representing a little more the target group I belong to...with 42....! ;-) One question, I would really love to learn a pivot 5-0 to fakie, such a stylish trick. I know pretty well how to rock to fakie but have the feeling that in order to learn the pivot fakie a step before would be a rock fakie where the board goes really up the table until the rear wheels touch the coping. And then going back with a long manual a little bit like the pivot fakie...or such tricks. A video with that one could maybe help, don’t you agree? All the best, Philipp

How’s it going Philipp? I made a video on this a few years ago as well as just about every other basic mini ramp trick. Here’s a link the the video - kzread.info/dash/bejne/oZZ8yLpmnrXMgqQ.html
does dropping in different size ramps feel different ?
As a teenager I was able to do my rocks all the way to the back truck which looked incredible but now after 13 years off the board trying to skate again i keep bailing out the second its time to go back in and I don't know why 😭

@@thestigmatickreature I wish it was still that easy! I ruptured my acl about 2 months ago so im out of skating again 😅 hopefully not forever but we will have to wait and see!
Everytime i do it a make it where i fakie but when i am tryna get back down i keep shooting my board down and slamming into the ramp. What should i do?
Sweeet thanks!
I have done it on tiny ramps. I tried it on a bigger ramp and I did the rock part really well but when I tried coming back my board slipped under me and i took a nasty slam. Is there a way to prevent this? What am I doing wrong?

When you come back in try to make sure you keep your front leg stiff and and lean back into the ramp. Your most likely slipping out because your leaning to far in towards the ramp when you come back in. Get it!
Such a scary Trick! Im from Germany and Start this year skating with 37.🤦🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️😅 i dont have a small Miniramp hier and began in a 170cm high Miniramp- very steep. But i‘ll do my best and try it every day with your tips. 👌🏽

I will try it tomorrow again and again...
What can I do to not take the back foot off?
You are at my local!!!
i know its basic but please do one on backside grinds and pivots focusing on proper and incorrect truck placement

Hey Chad Thanks for the tips my friend! I Think I have them Almost Dialed inn... Check it out when you get a chance!
Who is the Builder on those ramps
Tanner Park 👀. Best park in LI
i used to lean to far back now i stay more centered above the board. way more easier
So my front foot is on the bolts not on the nose?
Would front side kickturn work?
@ChadCaruso

Yeah definitely
Another tip for learning this trick is to practice going half way up the ramp and lifting you’re front trucks up and double tapping you’re wheels on the ramp and getting use to rolling fakie and lifting you’re trucks up .when you’re feel you’ve got that down just get enough speed to get you’re front trucks over the coping and just lift you’re trucks up and do the double tap and you should be able to rock to fakie

Very much theory.
I tried this and slammed. Twisted my leg and couldn't walk right for 2 weeks. I am terrified of trying it again now but I guess I'm gonna have to at some point. For now I am sticking to my flatground tricks.

Mangawhai Skateboarding idk if you got this trick now but try bending your legs way more, that will make it less scarier and will soften the fall.
lmao I love those fake falls
Your fall at 0:53 was actually pretty close to a head injury
