How to Rig Floating Squid Jigs with Dropper Loops
Спорт
I’ve had a few requests asking how to rig up floating squid jigs so here’s a quick video with how to tie the dropper loops for fishing with squid jigs or lures and an improved clinch knot to attach to a snap for the weight. Check out the gear links below for what I used in my setup. Happy squidding!

Please keep posting! Your videos are proper length for the material, straight to the point, well lit, and well presented. Do you do any clamming? Would love to see some clamming hints, tips, tricks and locations presented in such a succinct manner. Dash Point gaper clamming perhaps?

Thank you so much for the kind words :) It really means a lot to me that you enjoyed my videos! I do a little bit of everything, including clamming. I love the variety of species we can harvest in the PNW. Clam foraging would be a fun video to make! Thanks so much for the suggestion!
Thank you for great informative video you share.

The best and simple demonstration of a very handy eging rig I have ever come across on U-tube. Many thanks, beauty.! I'm gonna prove the advantages of your floating rig over the weighted jigging arrangement during our upcoming squidding campain in Thailand.
sweet its a big help for beginners thank you Idol

Can you cast this?
That's awesome! You're really clever using that knot to attach the jigs, I was wondering how you were sinking those floating jigs down 60 feet.

Hi Seawolf! I love watching your videos! Question: is this set up good for pier fishing as well? I'm new and hoping to use your technique on a pier because I don't have a boat.

Olá, com três iscas é possível fisgar três lulas ao mesmo tempo ou é pra facilitar a possibilidade de fisgar uma? Um abraço, aqui do Brasil.

It is for both reasons you state. Yes, it is possible to hook three squid at a time on each lure. The other benefit to having three lures on one fishing line is that you can cover a greater portion of the water column, so I'll have one lure pretty close to the ocean floor and the other lures end up being one and two feet higher so I get a higher chance of having squid attack the lures depending on what depth the squid are at. Thanks so much for stopping by to say hello!

Usando Google Tradutor. Você pode pegar uma lula em cada gabarito. Veja meus outros vídeos.
Thanks, great video. Do you often catch more than one squid at a time? Do you ever use secret sauce or fish oil to enhance the lures. Have you used 30 lb fluorocarbon? Its stiff but fish/ squid cant see it. Thanks from New Zealand

Yeah, I regularly catch two at a time, sometimes three. I usually run two jigs on a line, but we're allowed up to four, I just find that many to be cumbersome. But yeah, I've got three squid on two jigs on a line a few times. I don't use any scents to enhance the lures. I haven't used fluorocarbon mainly because the squid here will hit anything and have no fear or line shyness. I'm pretty sure if I threw a shoe string down they'd hit it lol. Are the squid in New Zealand a bit more shy?

@@SeaWolfFishing yes they get fished for a bit more, but i learned a lot and will try your methods. Thanks
Thanks for your video using a string is much easier to follow.
I learn so much from your vids! Keep em coming :D

What is the max number of jigs you can use on one line. Is it 3 just like Ya hook setups???? Great how to video. Enjoyed. ✌️👍👍👍

It's a max of 4 lures for squid per the regs (www.eregulations.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/20WAFW-VLR6.pdf) but I find it hard to manage more than 3 on a line lol :) Thanks for watching!!!
Great setup! Which weight do you usually go with?
@SeaWolfFishing

Thanks for watching! I usually use a 1 ounce ball with the floating jigs. Sometimes a 3/4 ounce.
Great video thanks, but my question is that here in Samos Greece we're all using 150 gr weight, with a ligher weight it comes up faster and not so many loses, can't always feel the hits from the squids and also wee have many rabbit fish that destroy the floats, will try u're way with the first chance, thanks again taverna at the end of the world.
