'DOUBLE SHOT' SQUID RIG | HOW TO TIE A SQUID RIG | CATCH MORE FISH

I first became aware of this rig by Jay from ‪@SMASHFISHING‬
This is an easy rig to tie and it involves a 'Dropper Loop' which allows you to fish two squid jigs, one above the other. I have been using this rig lately, mostly with a smaller lure at the top and a larger lure at the bottom.
If you’re thinking about doing some squid fishing soon then give this rig a go and see how you get on.
Double your chances of catching more squid with this easy to tie 'Double Shot' rig! 🦑
Thanks for watching & see you on the next one 🎣

Nice job…. We use two dropper loops instead of one then leaving a little extra line one the bottom we put the weight . Ensuring you can feel the bottom without heft caught up. Some people use a swivel to a little piece of line that is less strong. That way if your weight gets snagged you will loose the weight without loosing the jigs

I fish off a lobtermens dock with ton of stuff on the bottom to loose your rig on…. The yozuri jigs cost 9 each so it’s worth the effort to tie a “written bottom “

@@ericboncore3601 Yeah a rotten bottom. As in, when you’re fishing over very rough ground. If you hook a fish and the lead snags then you know it'll break off and avoid losing the fish. People use them a lot when fishing for cod, bass, huss, conger etc.

@@ericboncore3601 Yeah that makes perfect sense mate. I mostly fish the harbours for squid over here and luckily the ground is relatively clean so you dont lose too many jigs. If they do get snagged, most of the time it's on the sea wall rather then the seabed.
