Should maybe be "Tips FROM a woman" because this is a dope instructional video for anyone! You describe everything very thoroughly but in terms anyone can understand. And you clearly LOVE your Dyna and LOVE riding because you laugh whenever you do something fun! Just found your channel in my YT recommendations, subscribed and looking forward to checking out your content!

@Ray Hoffmann haha, if you search up how to ride a motorcycle, it's mostly men riding and explaining. Had to search up woman riding motorcycles.
Thank you so much! I used to have a phobia of bikes and PTSD after witnessing an accident 10 years ago, I just had my first bike lesson yesterday and this video is SO helpful to see someone else going through the steps I did on my lesson. Thank you again 🖤
By far the best explanation I have ever seen or heard...I've been ridding two wheels for 47 years n No one ever said it like that ..you rock girl...makes me happy to see a woman on u-tube ridding ...

This gave me the confidence to finally start riding my bike!! I recently started learning to ride on my Honda VTX 1300. I've had many people tell me it's the wrong bike to learn on but i did it and I'm in LOVE!!! If i can do it, anybody can! Thx for the great tips!!

From a man LOL that’s been riding for over 35 years, don’t let anyone tell you that it’s “the wrong bike”. If it feels right, just do what feels right to you :-) I hope you’re still riding!

Can I just say how THRILLED I was to find a woman MCtuber giving a riding tutorial on this dang website lolol. This is awesome, and holds up in '21! Thanks for the solid instruction. It's helping a scaredy cat new lady rider out. Ride on.

@@HerTwoWheels I concur with the compliment about your calming voice 😀 Thank you so much for doing this. 💞
Very gentle, step by step, empowering in making us feel safe in situations that tend to block us as beginners and confidence building for getting started . Kuddos to you!!!
Throttle control is huge. If you’re jerkey with the throttle you will upset the suspension. When your bike is unhappy your unhappy. Practice rolling on as much as your roll off. Similar story with braking. You want progressive braking meaning building up to max pressure. Practice squeezing harder and harder evenly and smoothly. Excellent recourses are keith code twist of the wrist 2, yamaha school of champions, motojitzu, and perhaps dan dan the fireman for road safety. Amateurs practice until they get it right, experts practice until they cant get it wrong. Hope this helps any new riders! Ride safe!
I recently discovered your KZread channel; I really love your videos!! This one is especially helpful because I'm just now learning to ride and had my first experience on a motorcycle this past weekend for classes. There's so much to learn with safety as a priority! Thank you very much and safe riding!
Literally one of the best videos for beginners. You explained it so well in layman's terms that I was able to understand it so much better. You have given me confidence that I can learn how to ride safely. Thank you 💜
Thank you! I’m *considering* learning to ride because my husband does & loves it. He’d be over the moon if I joined him, but I’m scared. I ride on the back sometimes, I’ve gotten better doing that. I think I’d be more comfortable if i were driving. I appreciate your calm demeanor/tone & your simple explanation. I’ll probably watch this a lot. You made it look not so hard, lol. Maybe I can learn?!? 🤔

My dear husband was worried about injuries and the cost of hospitalization when I told him tonight I wanted to learn. But from what I am learning already from watching all of the great videos with women who bike is that it doesn’t necessarily have to be dangerous?

I told my husband i wasn't comfortable on the back! He bought me a Honda VTX 1300 and i was too scared to do anything except sit on it for 6 months. But! All of those hours "sitting" there dreaming were not in vain. I got comfortable with the weight and the feel. Eventually i turned it on and started playing with the clutch, finding my friction zone, etc. I did everything in my own time, how it was comfortable for me. I'll never forget the day i got my get off the ground!! If i can do it, anyone can. I was absolutely terrified. Now it's my ultimate passion. Good luck!!

I’m going to be taking the msf course within the next few weeks with my dad! I’m so glad I watched this it’s makes me so excited to learn how to ride and get my own bike
I've been watching tons of videos as I'm a complete newbie. I understood the other videos just fine but this was the best, most concise and clearly demonstrated video of this material that I have found! Your a natural teacher! Thank you for sharing what you know. SUBCRIBED!!!
I love that you put the camera by your shift pedal, and explained it simple and sweet helped a lot!
It took me a good full riding season to really get fluid with riding. Thanks so much for doing this and sharing with everyone.
Yey another video and thank you for the helpful tutorial!
Thank you thank you! You have the calmest, most approachable teaching style.
Brand new rider here. Thank you for this wonderful explanation and for the camera angle at the shifter. That was great!
I love the thorough explanation, very good vibes coming from you :)
Great video, looking forward to start learning! Thank you!!!🤗
that was a good way to visualize what they're talking about in the exam manual thanks! I thought it was good.
Loved this video, thank you for posting! I know nothing about bikes but I want to start my riders course soon and this gave me a good starter idea on how to maneuver the bike and where everything is and what it’s for. I sure wouldn’t complain if you posted more videos like this😁😉
Hi Jess, I only found your channel a week or so ago and said in my first comment that you are a breath of fresh air to youtube. Having only just learnt to ride and pass my test last week I found this great for people who are thinking about getting on a bike. So you might have titled this video "Tips for Women" but its great for anyone including old gits like me. Just keep these videos coming, you are moving to the top of my viewing list👍
Thanks so much! I'm a newbie and your delivery was flawless and easy to understand.
Thank you for the tips this was a lot more helpful than some of the other videos out there! Especially downshifting. Not many people touch upon that subject!
I am about to purchase my first bike, I will be coming back to this video for reference! Thank you so much!!
Thanks for this video! I love watching it, you’re a great instructor 👍🏼👌🏼🤟
Wow absolutely amazing instructional video. Thanks for sharing keep up the good work be safe. 👍🏾👊🏾

It doesn't matter for how many years you have ridden your bike, some guy ( or all of them within 10 miles ) will think they need to give you riding tips/lessons. Get used to that. I find that revving the engine to drown them out helps a bit. I have 50 years of riding under my leathers but it still happens. ps... get a small dirt bike and go trail riding to learn the basics. Bears in the woods will probably leave you alone. Car drivers will give you no margin for error just because you are new.
Great instructional video. Thank you. Just a calm voice with no annoying music. Ride safe.

H2O Town Dude! You need a dirt bike 😂
Thank you for this!! You’re awesome.
Good video. Beginners need to know that when stopping with the front brake to keep the wheels straight and don't turn the handle bars. This is especially true if they're on a big heavy bike.
Great video, simple to follow.
Excellent introduction! Thank you
On an 09 FXDC Superglide myself , love the DYNA platform.

Omg I have a MSF class I’m nervous. This video had so much instruction it seems like so much you do simultaneously. I hope I get it
Thank you so much!

AHHHHHHH!!!! congratulations lady!!!!
Very good video!!! Gives the basics! An additional part of this is the turning, emphasizing to LOOK where you want to go and you will go in that direction. Adding the turning part would be important because if anyone would try this would not turn properly. Still an excellent video!!
Just started learning. Omg the friction zone was so hard for me. The clutch on the Kawasaki in my class had to be opened so far! I stalled so much. I’m like, who can ride this bike, ET? They said it will be different when I buy my own bike. Found your page randomly. Glad I did! Thanks for the videos!
Thank you this was so helpful! I’ve always ridden on the back of a bike, but I wanted to have my own. So I actually went out and bought an iron 883. The only things is I’m only 4’10” so it’s been a little bit of a struggle to reach the ground. It also has me a bit nervous trying to learn to ride because I can’t reach the ground properly. I did put slammers on it to lower it, and I’m getting a thinner seat. But I was just wondering if you might have any tips or suggestions for me?
This is a great instructional video!
You are the best ❤️ thank you 🙏
Nice...I had an 08 Superglide years ado...loved that bike!
I took a spill off our cousins sporty a few summers ago. Scared the crap out of me. But my husband wants me to get my license. So watching videos to try and get my confidence
Great starter explanation video. Great job on the shifter angle. Did a ride this spring with my son and my Sportster wouldn't start after we got lunch. Tried jumping it using the trickle charger wiring hook up from one bike to the other. It almost worked but the wires almost melted too, so don't do that. 😉
another excellent Video.
Amazing!!
New rider here, that was a great explanation. You really helped calm my nerves.
Yesterday was my first day! 💜💜 instant love
Cool, would you ever do a foot pedal shifting pov video to your pedal technique?
Your video helped me thank u so much so informative I wish u were in Arizona to help me
Im looking for a 1200 or 883, this helped alot
Well done - great explanations. The closeups of your left foot showing the gearshift are extremely effective. Just one small correction: the clutch cuts power to the wheels, not the engine.
