Thanks for the high quality project and the 4k video quality.
Always something distinctly interesting and informative, Mister Grant. ~ gosh, that staple lifter tool looks like it would be handy for self defense ; )

Thanks
This was JUST the video I needed today! I was recovering a set of chairs that have bottom exactly like the one in the video. I was stumped on how to get the fabric to stay in place. Thank you for the help! 😃

Unfortunately I've already got my vinyl -- tartan tablecloth -- and strong spray glue, which I doubt is going to allow me tomato the cloth around. It's for a mower seat: one-piece, concave, consisting of a metalbase, shaped moulded foam, vinyl cover and rubber-covered metal U strip that makes a snug push-fit holding the edges of the vinyl to a lip all around the metal base. Dunno what it's called. I have 4-5 machines with such seats, most in need of tlc. Ideas welcome!
How much fabric did you use for one chair? I have four and I'm trying to see how much of each I need

Hi Ragan... I'm purchasing materials to recover four also. How much vinyl did you wind up using? I'm guessing if it's 5 yards of sew foam per two chairs it will be about 14 yards of vinyl for four chairs?

@@shaelmoyer7479 I still haven't started 🙈. I actually have 8 of them now and hoping to order materials soon
I think even with glue, a dozen clips to hold the edges down would've made things much easier to combat those wrinkles.
Any suggestions how to put this beast back together? The two screws that go into the backrest are nearly impossible to line up.

I have the same chairs and had to force it against a wall/floor for leverage to push it close enough to line up 😭
What kind of hand tool is he using to remove the back plates?
