    This has been the ONLY video that helps me breathe back to normal when panicking and hyperventilating. Also I’m pregnant and have hyperventilation syndrome and this video has SAVED me

    I realised that I had dysfunctional breathing after one of my nurse colleagues talked about learning about this on her asthma course. She spoke about yawning and sighing when exercising. It felt like a lightbulb moment. I can’t believe I didn’t recognise this in myself after being trained to assess respiratory pattern and effort in others. I thought it was because I’m unfit but despite trying to get fitter I would yawn and sigh when exercising. I have asthma and chronic rhinitis. I think my brain got used to just breathing through my mouth because it’s easier. I am hoping with these breathing exercises I will be able to improve my exercise tolerance. Thank you for posing this UCL. 😊

    Has anyone else experienced this after having a cough for over a month? I’ve developed a tight chest (could be a pulled muscles from too much coughing). The tight chest has been going on for over a week, which is making me feel breathless easily. Has anyone else felt the tightness in the chest making an impact on your breathing? If so, how long did the tightness last for after doing these breathing exercises?

    I have developed terrible breathing pattern as the practice of doing meditation really changed how I breathe LITERALLY. Could this be done for an hour so I woukd go back to normal again? thank you!
