    Those old GT tires look so great! like a mix between HDAP tires and trailer tires. I wish someone would make a similar design with deep thread and a bit more space between the ribs. Great video and you wrench real fast!

    Hey Norman, great videos, it's about time someone went into detail doing these restoration videos. It sure would be nice if you could do one on the 1967 and up Massey Ferguson MF-12 s, I'm sure there would be more people interested in seeing it! I will pass your site on to other people who collect and restore these awesome little machines! Keep up the great work!

    oh yea i removed the motors on all my repaint tractors, the worst was the 18 hp twin horizontal on my 86 gt 2. i used krylon fusion paint on my motors, stuck like glue ( just used black since theyre all briggs). onan parts you say? i got a 20hp onan twin that needs a coil , i was about ready to use a motorcycle coil, its been on the back burner for a while cause of that. thanks for the info.

    kohler service manuals are as good as or less than as good as 1930's prints. they're black and white with the contrast so far off that it's just a shadow of blackness with an outline. you'd think in this day and age, maybe they could update if not just photo shop it into something that resembles details.

    Hey! me and my younger sister are restoring a International Cub Cadet 1250, and it has a Kohler K301, we're to the engine part of the restoration now, the engine runs amazing, but the way we start it is to take a wrench or pliers and jump the solenoid and touch both the leads together, what solenoid is the right one for the K301, and/or is there a way to fix the existing one? i turn the key to start it and nothing happens, no clicks or anything, only thing that works for the key is the ignition itself. Oh and i almost forgot to ask, the iron elbow for the exhaust is broke, and the bolts are rusted but i can't cut it, is there anyway i can rig up an exhaust? by the way i love your videos, me and my sister are huge garden tractor fans, we need more soon hahaha!!!

    You can use any of the solenoids we sell on our website. You may be able to fix yours. Make sure 12v is going to the activation post when your key is in the start position

    Use some rust penetrant spray and let it sit for a day or so. Then hit it with a small map gas torch and use an impact wrench to get them loose. If none of that works you can weld a nut onto them and turn them off with a wrench. The welding process will heat it up so it should back out easily.

  • @Joey-fw7ed

    @Joey-fw7ed

    Eh, I don't have an impact wrench or a welder. Gotta keep it simple!

  • @Isavetractors

    Rust spray and tap them with a hammer to help break them loose then try them. The problem with those flywheel screws is they are phillips heads and are prone to stripping. An electric impact is an invaluable tool for these situations.
